(36,649 posts)Find the half-dozen most ill-advised messages that cast the organization in the worst light possible, then spend a week harping on them. Then we'll talk.
The DNC emails are the sideshow diversion. The fact that Putin is behind it is the real story, and the fact that he could manipulate people so easily.

(8,197 posts)Were they wrong to choose a side so early?
OF COURSE.
Was this ALWAYS going to be the outcome regardless?
YES, its was.
No one is as clean as you would want.
You think Bernie's campaign emails aren't similar?
Trumps?
Jebs?
Cruz?
Rubio?
Debbie needed to step down because she didn't lead- she should've cut much of that shit off at the pass.
But the bottom line is this- NO EMAIL account EVER is clean as a whistle. Everyone can pick through something and
find offensive shit. It's a fact.
She's held to a different standard and is maligned more than any other candidate or politician ever.
It's crazy.

(1,214 posts)DNC officials who said there was absolutely no bias in the election!
YES, its was.
Then those officials involved should have run a scrupulously even-handed election, instead of the farce they did run. They put an asterisk on Clinton's nomination.
It's more than Debbie, she didn't write all of those emails. But maligned or not her ability to pick pro-Clinton "winners" (or republicans she "can work with" will ooze into the 50 State Strategy.

(1,214 posts)Her friends in the DNC ensured not only would she receive the nomination, they also ensured that drumpf would have a new weapon to use against her handed to him on a silver platter: She's the DNC's pick, not the people of the Democratic Party. A candidate chosen by Party Insiders. I hate drumpf. He's a con man, but nobody could accuse him of being the pick of the RNC insiders.
People who were still on the fence about HRC could have said to themselves, "Well she did win the nomination fair and square, I don't want to be a sore loser because my candidate didn't win." Despite being called conspiracy theorist and the many posted here when the subject was bought up, the DNC did collude to support Clinton and suppress Sanders. It makes it difficult (and for some impossible) to unify behind HRC, especially with the boneheaded move of making DWS honorary Chair on the 50 State Strategy to gain Democratic seats. Even ignoring the recent fiasco, DWS once refused(as chair of the FL Democrats) to support candidates running against republicans that "she could work with".

(2,280 posts)You can't answer that because while the emails do prove that some at the DNC had a bias, they don't show that any actions were taken.
That Guy 888
(1,214 posts)That's all that's needed. Especially since we aren't talking about low access data entry employees, but the top tier leadership of the DNC. A fish rots from the head while not scientific is an apt metaphor here.

(2,280 posts)But if there is no action on that bias then it's just being the thought police.

(37,364 posts)has always sickened me. Videogame mentality when it comes to real life have unintended consequences. When institutions are not working you get together and find solutions to fix them. Blowing everything up exposes the most vulnerable among. The law of unintended consequences surfaces in ways you cannot control. We have a system for change but no one wants to play by the rules to change it. Put down the joysticks and look around you. Who do you know that will be harmed by the worst case scenario people like Trump or Assange could usher in? That is reality.
