Congratulations to Heidi Heitkamp

I know it hasn't been officially called yet, but North Dakota was a big hold for us. Looks like maybe we held Montana too. (Go Jon Tester!) In the end, it seems like Ms. Heitkamp won and will remain the winner, even if there is a recount.

If we had a better candidate in Nevada, and funding in Arizona, we could've had two more pickups!

They went in expecting to take control of the Senate. Now thanks to the tea party they almost certainly come out of the election with fewer seats than they went in with. The Democrats couldn't have had better opponents than men like Akin and Mourdock and Thompson and Mack and Allen if they had hand-selected them. And if stories be true, in Akins case they did.

They primaried out Lugar, who ran unopposed in 2004. He would've won. McCaskill probably would've lost too if they nominated someone competent at all.

...that McCaskill was running ads promoting him in the GOP primary. She wanted to run against him because she knew that he was a soundbite away from self-destruction at any given moment. She was absolutely right.
