(4,940 posts)Have Hillary flags and posters and fliers - and helped distribute them during our Golden Days celebration here. Yep, I adore Bernie. I just like my party better.

(81,179 posts)Great to have you here. A - um - most memorable night, although as of Franken, Simon, and Sarah Silverman, seems to be perking up.

(14,566 posts)Sadly, our candidate (Bernie) lost, but because of our numbers, we drove the platform of the party to the left and Bernie made it quite clear that those Dems elected, including our next Madam President, must at least try and get some of them through.
But, NOW it is time to get behind Clinton. If Trump gets into the WH, well...as Warren said, he 'must never be president.' It is simply unthinkable.

(135,425 posts)There were a few "busters" screeching through the speeches, but they pretty much STFU'd by the time Michelle took the stage. I think their peers got a verbal slap of reality with her comment, and they took it aboard.
I couldn't believe the idiot wailing at Warren. What a schmuck! All the maturity of a ... fig.
Beausoir
(7,540 posts)the courage to shame the pants-shitting bros for their tantrum.
Normally not a fan of hers but she really took it on tonight.
She'll probs get a few twitter threats but by and large, the bros are finished.

(34,165 posts)with the "you're being ridiculous". Apparently she wouldn't even try to finish her prepared speech.
For a seasoned comedian and her schtick, it was surprising to me that she wasn't prepared or better able to improvise.

(17,505 posts)Wait.... Hillary supporters hated Silverman a month or so ago.
I suppose all one need do is insult Sanders' supporters and they are "Great!" and "look beautiful!"
Got it.

(12,504 posts)They deserved the finger pointing at their ridiculous pants shitting outburst. (note: someone up thread used the term "Pants shitting", and it seems to fit so well, I shall be using it today)
I'm one of those that didn't care for Silverman one way or the other. Assumed she was entitled to her Bernie affection, but cheered her ability to show the idiocy for what it was yesterday. Good for her.
AlbertCat
(17,505 posts)I'm not in that group.
I'm not involved at all in any "ridiculous pants shitting outburst."
But smugly calling people's concerns "ridiculous pants shitting outbursts" does not make me inclined to think you care whether Sanders people vote for Clinton or not.
Sheepshank
(12,504 posts)but lump everyone else into a group....got it.

(37,748 posts)No doubt, that is among the most self-validating rationalizations you can conjure to better validate your biases.
I too used to pretend "all one needs to do is X, then Y!" but basic logic and reasoning classes illustrated to me how irrational it in fact, actually is.

(27,792 posts)I first saw her on "Politically Incorrect" with Bill Maher, and she was hilarious!
Every single thing she said on that show was funny...I fell in love with her!
My favorite Sarah Silverman line was from a Comedy Central Roast of Pamela Anderson, where she looked out over the audience & said:
"It's good to see Courtney Love in the audience - I left my crack in my other purse."
She's not only beautiful & funny....she also can act.
I loved her in "School of Rock"
