perhaps because she looks like she's been drugged into a Stepford Child state and she's just doing this in a desperate attempt to get Daddy's attention and approval?

(Love to know what Marla thinks of this performance - I've been wondering why we never hear anything about this Trump child.)

and lacking any scintilla of sincerity. It's shallow on my part, but I get the impression she'll say anything she's told to, without thinking. She could be reading a script in Dothraki for all she relates to what she's saying.

I think she grew up only seeing him two weeks out of the year. The best thing she could say about him was he called her when her friend died. The very basic thing any parent should do. Have a cookie, Trump. It seemed obvious to me that she was doing the speech in a very bare minimum obligatory daughter-of-an-absantee-father way and then she was out of there. I don't blame her one bit.
