Fivethirtyeight has a proven track record of getting it right so I have nothing but respect for thier work. This article is spot on. The Republican Party is going the way of the Whigs. It's hard to see a way for a party that is getting older, whiter, more southern, and more poorly educated as anything but an evolutionary dead end.

I was a little shocked when I first came here at how MANY things people here did not seem to care for :p

But it's a huge, diverse audience, so I guess that's to be expected
