It was just reported that Bernie Sanders is about to show up at the Democratic Party Sit-In in Congr
The cameras and microphones have been shut off by Paul Ryan and the Republicans, so C-SPAN hasn't been allowed to carry it, but Periscope and Facebook users are providing whatever feed they can.
The Republican censorship of this extremely important day is an absolute outrage and just goes to show how little freedom of information this government wants us to have!
Thank goodness for everyday people who still believe in freedom of speech and information!
Anyone knows when Hillary will make it out there? it is one of her projects (Gun control).
so I wouldn't expect her to be there. This is a demonstration by Dem congresspeople including some Senators, but Hillary is technically a private citizen.
one of her major campaign issues is gun law reform. Maybe this was to give her backing and make her pitch stronger yet?
Considering HRC has a campaign to focus on most likely she'll let the senators do their job so she can focus on that.
Then she wouldn't be allowed in and I hope the meme "why doesn't Hillary...." take hold.

She's not a sitting Senator or House member.
Guess you didn't know that, huh?
of a question after all...
As a former Senator, she could enter that chamber, but she has no expectation of entry under House rules.
She is, after all, the presumptive presidential nominee of the 2016 Democratic Party.
She should take a prominent stand, and make it loud and clear.
House Democrats cheer Clinton in first Capitol Hill meeting
that was this morning
Just for all you Bernie folks!
Micheal Moore tweeted that he came in the chamber to a round of applause
I wonder who he is? I sure bet he gets the stink eye a lot!
supporting Representative Lewis' protest.
I'm just happy that Democrats are finally standing the hell up for what we say we believe in!
Hillary and John Lewis are friends and allies, you know, and she had visited Congress and met with the Democratic caucus before 60 of them...sat down.
but she also met with Democrats in the spaces she was allowed to go (as she's not allowed on the House floor, having never been a Rep.) Pelosi tweeted that she was proud to welcome Hillary at the Capitol to meet with Democrats. I'm going to look for more on this.
Although it doesn't really matter if she was there or not there: she has been an avid supporter of gun control, including an assault weapons ban, for many decades.
She is not a member of Congress, but she is on the cusp of becoming the new leader of the Democratic Party. So I'm glad she came to make her presence and support known.
BTW: I don't think Obama or Biden can go on the House floor either, without being invited (as for the State of the Union address). And that ain't gonna happen.
I am LOVING this!

If you're going to show up to the sit-in, you should stay long enough to show your solidarity. Hillary isn't allowed on the floor, but she made a strong statement of support.
Senator Al Franken was there from almost the beginning and sat on the floor with them for quite some time, and Senator Elizabeth Warren was there for a while too.
Did you see the OP's question? "Anyone knows when Hillary will make it out there?" Any comments about "this shit" with respect to that question?
Dozens and dozens of Congressmen and some Senators took part in the sit-in. Why an OP simply about one single Senator?

Bernie doesn't work in the House of Representatives. got it???
"a steady stream of Senate Democrats walked across the Capitol to join in the protest."
He has inspired countless democrats.
I am glad Sanders and so many others were inspired by Lewis
But I'm thinking Bernies shown Congress that the people will reward action.
Dems may finally be growing a spine.
Not being a member of Congress, under ordinary circumstances she wouldn't be permitted in the chamber.
I hope he stays a Dem from now on and keep the flames alive. I was not a huge fan of his campaign (but I blame Weaver more than anyone), and I think we need Bernie and his focus INSIDE the Democratic Party.
I'm proud of our Democrats, particularly Lewis, Pelosi, Warren, Hillary, Bernie, and of course my all time favorite, Obama. Go Dems! Team Blue!
