My electoral map prediction! Obama 296 Romney 242, link included.

Okay, this is it- this is my prediction for tomorrow's electoral college results!

I think the President's Midwestern wall of Ohio, Wisconsin, and Iowa is pretty solid. I predict that the President will hold those states.

Governor Romney m
ade some headlines in the last few days by making a campaign stop in Pennsylvania, with he and supportive groups buying ad time there(A move which the Obama campaign countered). Unfortunately for the Governor I doubt the strength of the PA Republican GOTV effort. I don't think it'll compare to the Democrats, and frankly, the state has been polling solidly Obama for a fairly long, and reliable, time. Up until now the whisper on the wind was that the Romney camp wasn't even contesting it. I think this is an identifiable hail-marry pass on the part of Governor Romney's campaign.

I gave Colorado to the Governor, not for any particular specific reason- the polls there are close, tied, if anything I think the President is supposed to be leading a little. However, the state is pretty well known for being right leaning so I'm going to follow my gut and turn it red for Romney.

New Hampshire is small, with few electoral votes, but everyone clamors to that state anyways. I believe the polling has been pretty steady for the President, so I'm willing to predict that New Hampshire's votes are going to go blue.

Virginia is a state that Obama has been polling competitively in, but Virginia is notoriously conservative leaning- considering the climate I'd be surprised if he pulled off a victory there. Of course, if the Democrats can get the black vote out there, and have successfully orchestrated a good advance GOTV effort, President Obama could net it. Personally, I think Governor Romney will win it- if he doesn't though Virginia will have entered the national stage as a solidified battleground state, most likely for a few elections to come.

North Carolina I gave to the President based on the very, very large number of advance voters that have already cast their ballot, the bulk of them Democrats. On the whole, Democratic voters are considered less consistent voters, and more likely to vote advance then to vote in person. It gives a hurdle for Republicans to have to cross, in part because they are less likely to advance vote. The Democrats, at the moment, have an edge in N.C. This state goes for the President.

Florida was given to Governor Romney, it leans right, and coupled with the new voting law requirements I predict the state will go red.

President Obama- 296
Governor Romney- 242
