Be safe but it would be wonderful to see him kicked out of the house. He is such an arrogant jerk!

(20,176 posts)there's not a lot of polling out there and the district has a solid-R lean, but...
1.) The VA earthquake was centered in his district and he opposed federal-aid in the aftermath which pissed off a lot of constituents.
2.) He was weak even before that, possibly the weakest any GOP nominee had been in that district in 20 years. The more attention he got nationally, the more his constituents learned what a dick he is. It's a conservative district but the people there are "nice": polite, godly, generous with each other...and he might be the right party and hold the right positions...but he doesn't reflect their values and his negatives are high...his constituents don't like him. Even if he wins tomorrow, he may be prime for a primary in 2014.
3.) Wayne Powell has been flat-out out-campaigning him, kicking his ass on the stump and in debate.
4.) The vandalism of Powell's HQ shows that the campaign is having an effect, Cantor's supporters are getting edgy.

(10 posts)Cantor like many incumbents knows how to play the locals in his district well. Sometimes representatives get too comfortable though. We'll see tomorrow.
