Here's why an indictment is never going to happen

She is a former FLOTUS. They will not open the can of worms by formally charging her. It opens up the possibility of other current and former Presidents and Spouses being charged domestically and more importantly, internationally. This is a loss of international prestige that is WAY more important that anything else. Period.

2. Oh. She must be protected because of Bill.

In your view, is there any limit to the extent of crime that should/will be ignored based on this rationale?

4. No

You don't want to open the can of worms where the likes of Bush and Cheney can be charged for war crimes. It's, rightly or wrongly, a matter of international respect

21. What?

The fact we didn't indict Bush & Cheney for the torture regime caused us to lose immense international respect.

3. That's not a very reasonable point of view. NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW!

They may offer her a deal before indictment where she can bow out as gracefully as possible. But, she's not going to walk away unscathed if she did break the law.

She may not take the deal. In that case, she will be indicted.

23. Doesn't ring true with me, Txblue. Any agency that would

subvert democracy by waiting for half the nation to choose its candidate and only then indicting that candidate, perhaps even oversetting our democratic transition itself by waiting to indict a president-elect, would not be stopped by any consideration of embarrassing presidents.

That behavior would mean an enormous lack of respect for the rights of the people and for democracy itself. The only way to serve and protect the nation would have been to indict as soon as possible while its people still had time to consider that reality when choosing among the candidates.

24. Correction

No one is SUPPOSED to be above the law. Sadly, that is not the case in America. If you have political power and all the right connections you can get around it. As Greenwald said we have a two-tiered system of justice in this country - one for the politically powerful and connected and one for the rest of us. She SHOULD be indicted but she probably won't be.

5. Absolutely.

Her various titles prevent her any prosecution at all. We must declare her innocence and right to the presidency regardless of what those who disagree with us believe.

She must ascend to the presidency. She is a strong woman, and solely based on that, she deserves the highest office in the land.

11. ...

I've paid my dues
Time after time
I've done my sentence
But committed no crime
And bad mistakes
I've made a few
I've had my share of sand
Kicked in my face
But I've come through

Whoops! Ass backwards again....silly me...she committed the crime, sentencing will have to come later.

May I ask your level of clearance? How many years working with such documents and security protocols?

Branch of service or agency?

Just curious...

I expect a good hand slapping enough that Hillary's life will be miserable the next 4 years as President. That is unless she was truly hacked and compromised then all bets are off.

According to you, her special status allows her to engage in possible criminal activities that the FBI are investigating?

There has been clear evidence of intent and wrongdoing. I think she will receive the bad news of an indictment before the convention.
