When they start sending the Big Dawg to work on key House races and not on so called 'swing states'.
Bill Clinton coming this Sunday to help Jim Graves defeat Michele Bachmann

After coming to Minnesota to help Rick Nolan defeat Rep. Chip Cravaack (R-MN/NH) earlier this week, Bill Clinton will be returning to Minnesota this Sunday to help Jim Graves defeat Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN).
Former President Bill Clinton is scheduled to campaign in St. Cloud on Sunday night according to two people with knowledge of the event. The event comes just two days before Election Day and just hours after Paul Ryan holds a campaign rally in Minneapolis.

The Big Dawg would not be coming to Minnesota if internal polling indicated Graves has no chance. There are plenty of places to send Clinton where deals need to be sealed.

(115,610 posts)It's about 90 miles north of the Twin Cities area (population about 3.5 million). The event will attract mostly the locals, so it's clear that the purpose of Clinton's visit is to help Jim Graves squash Bachmann like a bug in the 6th district. If the Obama campaign thought they still needed Clinton he wouldn't be deployed to the boonies of Minnesota to help defeat a really pernicious congresswoman.

(5,255 posts)I'm pretty sure it's part of a deal wherein Obama will support HRC for the presidency in 2016, but still . . . DAMN. The guy is working himself hoarse . . . literally! And obviously having a blast doing it, too.

(296,875 posts)for their country..that MUCH!
But I also think that Obama will campaign energetically for Hillary if she decides to run. And the deal I'm imagining doesn't have to be anything sinister.
But! First things first.

(10,252 posts)The Clintons are savvy pols and extremely intellectual, as is Obama. There's a mutual respect there. Besides, who could tolerate a Romney residency? What rational person wouldn't want to see Romney's back going out the door.

(4,551 posts)Does that mean the Obama Campaign is worried about PA?
Or is it just a way of acknowledging the voters there and making sure they aren't ignored?

Must. Go. See.
It would be pretty close to a perfect election here, if Bachmann lost. I've been sending dough to Graves every payday - but I'm in the 3rd, and can't vote for him. If I coulda afforded it, I might have moved for a couple of months...

(53,016 posts)Especially in light of a poll that has Romney up by 1 in MN. But what you say makes sense. If it were about the presidential. Election he wouldn't be going to St. Cloud.
The staging location for South Minneapolis was bustling today. They told us that MN-05 had the highest voter turnout in the nation in 2008. I hope we break that record this year.
Remember to vote no twice!
