(10,745 posts)So he was actually a historical figure? Based on the Wikipedia article, I seriously don't like this guy's choice of a name......
On an unrelated note, the Gunpowder plotter does share a name with the guy who originally invented the Civilization board game......

(1,835 posts)This Scaife poll is absolutely not credible. THROW IT OUT! PPP has a stellar reputation.

(9,774 posts)Trib Total Media....anyone from PA tell us more?
flowomo
(4,740 posts)Trib Total Media is their whole media package -- smaller papers, website etc. It's a Scaife operation. See my post above.

(9,774 posts)in other words, we should ignore this poll.

(85 posts)They had Romney up by 4 on October 18. This is an improvement from their prior ridiculous poll.

(46,192 posts)and their last gave Romney a 4 point lead.
their last poll did this:
http://washingtonexaminer.com/poll-shows-romney-leading-in-blue-pennsylvania/article/2511153#.UJSRTcXA9BF
Last Susquehanna Poll (10/18/12) / 2008 Vote (or Exit Polls)/2004 Vote (or Exit Polls)
Philadelphia----->10% / 12% / 11.7%
Allegheny Co.--->10% / 11% / 11%
Men-------------->48% / 46% / 47%
Women---------->52% / 54% / 53%
White------------->88% / 81% / 82%
Black------------->10% / 13% / 13%
Hispanic----------> 1% / 4% / 3%
1% Hispanic in Pennsylvania? There are a lot of Puerto Ricans in Pennsylvania and in 2008 they voted too.
Also, note the men/women split.
Oversampled whites too.
Sounds suspect to me.

(4,551 posts)And while it may very well be narrowing in PA compared to 2008, it's odd that this poll comes out now.
We just got a poll from PPP earlier tonight showing Obama +6 in PA, so why is this one so much lower?

(22,143 posts)Trust me. If Obama wins by less than six here, I'll eat a giant steak.
We just got a poll from PPP earlier tonight showing Obama +6 in PA, so perhaps that's the real number.
MrSlayer
(22,143 posts)But I'll take .8 as long as we walk with PA. Which we will, by at least that 6. Or I'll eat that steak.

(33,497 posts)how much Gore won PA in 2000 and better than Kerry in 2004, but down from Obama 2008 which we can expect it will be.
