Sarah Palin, in her quest for relevancy, donates $5000 to Romney's campaign

In the last days of the campaign, did Palin suddenly remember that she had forgotten to donate to the Romney campaign? I guess this is one more way of keeping herself relevant among her dwindling base by doing something sure to get her some media attention. The article implies that the Romney campaign is awash in cash, and didn't necessarily need it, so what were her motives?

She's still going to be able to do guest appearances at very minor venues. She'll be able to do that until the last stupid wingnut dies so she's got it made.
