Is Hillary going to be able to command Bernie-sized crowds for the GE?? If not now, when??

If Hillary really is going to be the nominee, isn't everyone going to expect to see large crowds at her events, especially as the election approaches? Her track record on this count has been abysmal. Every single successful candidate I have ever seen was able to command large crowds. Or are we just going to keep saying what they've been saying so far - that Hillary supporters just don't "do" rallies - the same way they don't do lawn signs, or bumper stickers, or online polls... This is going to be so embarrassing.

5. This put the lie that she really has voters voting for her in great numbers now. I'm not buying it.

The mismatch between her abysmal rallies and her victories in the primaries - it just doesn't make sense. Something stinks.

6. They're going to have to hand out $50 bills or something to get people to attend.

I was going to say $20 bills, but I don't think that would be enough to make me sit through one of her speeches!

8. Large crowds clearly don't make a difference. Historically, the best way for fringe candidates

to get a following (and hence media coverage) was to engage young people on college campuses (where they are concentrated). This was done by touting issues pertinent to that demographic. It worked well in each generation...Gary Hart, Ron Paul, Ross Perot, Jesse Jackson, Ralph Nader...if you call crowd size a measure of success. But it never works well enough to get the necessary votes. Winning candidates need broad appeal.

We don't sit out elections.

We don't pout.

We vote.

it's because her supporters have jobs to go to and can't take time to attend a rally. Honest. That's what they've said. Apparently, we Bernie supporters are not only mean and nasty, we're lazy and shiftless, too. LOL. I agree . . . it is going to be embarrassing.
