Someday we'll have a progressive/liberal woman running for President. It might be Elizabeth Warren.

Warren could beat Trump and rally the liberal, progressive and independent vote behind her campaign.

Hillary is a loser against Trump and according to some folks on DU doesn't need the votes of independents and Sanders supporters to win the general election if she captures the nomination. Just registered Democrats need to vote for her to put her over the top.

Lot's of luck with that.

She's a divider, not a uniter.

Sanders can mobilize and build a united opposition to Trump that will leave him in the dust.

Does anyone really think Hillary can and will unite us when reading some of the nasty ,devisive and lying comments directed against Bernie on this discussion board?

Wouldn't that be great! KPN May 2016 #1
If Bernie is elected President this fall he would pave the way for her candidacy in 2020. imagine2015 May 2016 #4
That would be great; right now I'd settle for a progressive human. The Velveteen Ocelot May 2016 #2

I don't think Bernie would serve two terms. But if he does, Elizabeth would certainly be the presidential candidate in 2024.

mindset. It is her position on ISSUES like war and fracking and the TPP and cluster bombs and sending those kids back to die (another fucking oopsie), NO to single payer and NO to raising the cap, but YES to means-testing Social security, and the Third Way agenda - and many other things - that prevent me from supporting her. There is no way I can support that stuff.

She would beat trump. But the repugs aren't going to run another blabbermouth like him again. Their next candidate will be an ultra right winger who talks like a moderate. Someone like Kasich, but with at least a hint of charisma. Trump says all the things the far right believes, but for the republicans that's a problem--they can't say that shit out loud and win.
