Not a real Democrat, just someone who's going to dismantle Obama's ACA ...
https://theintercept.com/2016/05/11/lobbyists-dnc-2016-convention/
Some of the members of the 2016 Democratic National Convention Host Committee, whose job is to organize the logistics and events for the convention, are hardly even Democratic Party stalwarts, given that many have donated and raised thousands of dollars for Republican presidential and congressional candidates this cycle.
The Host Committee’s finance chair is Daniel Hilferty. In his day job, Hilferty is CEO of Independence Blue Cross, a health insurance giant that covers nine million people. In December, Hilferty became board chairman of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association of America, a trade group that lobbies for the insurance industry, and he serves on the board of directors of America’s Health Insurance Plan’s (AHIP), the insurance industry lobbying group that spearheaded the campaign against the Affordable Care Act. Lobby registration documents show the BCBS Association is actively supporting a number of Republican bills to roll back provisions of the ACA. Anyone thinking it was time for America to be shocked to its senses with a Trump administration can relax now ... there is no need to vote for Trump in order to cause a crisis that will wake up America to the need to rebuild a progressive party in America ... Hillary and the 3rd way seem to be well equipped to tear apart the social fabric all on its own.

2. Do you know what role the Host Committee plays in DNC policy? None.
Host Committee does things like arrange hotel rooms and shuttle buses.

11. the significance of the private health industry
paying the Democratic party's expenses for their convention?? No, please do let me in on how the company I work for makes all employees take an annual business ethics refresher course and test to make sure we don't get involved in any of these pay-for-play kind of sponsorship deals, but it's perfectly okay and harmless for the health sector to do this for political parties?

8. The DNC is in charge...
Just because someone noted a corporate millionaire health care lobbyist is in charge of an aspect of the convention you reply in a snark-off way suggesting they vote for Trump. IMO you are wrong. You may march lockstep to the right with this group of 3rd way Dems but some of us won't. We may have to vote for them this time but won't do it quietly.
