(10,622 posts)I really don't get it for a few reasons.
For one, you don't ever seem to have much to say yourself, your posts tend to be title only, no actual intelligent conversation.
For another, I like intelligent conversation and so find it nearly impossible to identify with your chronic need to silence the thoughts of others. Even when I disagree with a discussion being posted, Provided it is intelligent one, I learn from such discussions and tend to extend my world view when valid points based in fact and expressed clearly are read by me, I would not like the loss of those that disagree with me, as long as they do so using their brains rather than their meaningless disdain and spittle.
Most of all, would it not be just as boring, if everyone one encountered and conversed with merely restated one's own thoughts? Would it not be easier to just keep a journal and only read one's own thoughts rather than calling, no practically begging for, on a daily basis that all voices not in complete agreement with yours not merely be ignored, (an option available to you now) but rather banished to silence?
You either hold a tenuous at best grasp on a difficult to hold belief system that needs constant reaffirmation and edification, or perhaps simply prefer boredom and silence to discussion, and with it the sharing of divergent ideas and thoughts.
I simply do not understand your rather overbearing need to silence most everybody, save your own choir.
I also believe were you to be granted this, your deepest desire -
You would either languish in boredom, or find your "victory of censorship" to be far less rewarding than perhaps you now think it would be.
By all means though, continue your crusade to ban the larger portion of posters here, but also be aware, and remember to be careful what you wish for, or in your case often demand.
