#DropOutHillary Hashtag: Only a Female Front Runner Would Be Told to Drop Out & Make Way For a Male

A trending hashtag on Twitter admonishes the Democratic frontrunner: #DropOutHillary. This is a perfect example of the demeaning, condescending, unfair treatment to which Hillary Clinton is subjected.

Hillary Clinton is winning. She is the front runner. She has a commanding lead in pledged delegates, in superdelegates, in votes. Bernie Sanders’ path to the nomination is virtually nonexistent, contingent upon an exceedingly unlikely scenario in which Hillary does not reach the requisite number of pledged delegates before the convention and a majority of superdelegates inexplicably abandon a thoroughly vetted and extremely qualified front runner.

Barring some extraordinary set of circumstances, Hillary will be the Democratic nominee.

No other front runner with such a clear path to the nomination would be subjected to this sort of belittling suggestion to drop out.

Even Trump, a wildly unpopular candidate with his own party leaders, has not been publicly admonished to drop out. The “Never Trump” campaign doesn’t presume to tell him that he should drop out.

This dynamic will surely be familiar to a lot of women. It is familiar to me. An eminently qualified woman being told to step aside to make room for a less qualified man? Been there, heard that.

I’m going to bet that I’m not the only woman who has a problem with people telling a woman who’s winning, and has the best shot to be the first female president, to drop out to make way for a male candidate who is losing and who has nowhere near her level of experience, competency, and preparedness.

Namely, the e-mail investigation which just got brand new fire. (4 years of emails vanishing, really?). Republicans scouring their connections for Hillary's transcripts, which will surely be found somehow. Trump tacking to the left of Hillary on foreign policy, trade, and money in politics and clobbering her on the wrong stances she took which she's not flipped on.

The fact is the longer Hillary has been in the spotlight the worse her numbers have gotten.

Democratic Party Loyalists now number ONLY a mere 29% of all registered voters.

The Republicans can only claim a whopping 19%.

This leave a huge crowd of indies who are free to vote for anyone but Hillary.

And if you think people won't vote for her because she is female, maybe you should consider:

She is under investigation for her role in The Clinton Foundation.

The wars in the Middle East that her State Department helped to spread have reduced many of the cities and even nations there into big piles of rubble.

Her alliance to Big Financial firms is not pleasing to many in the middle class.

She also is firmly entrenched in her support for NAFTA, and her recent statements that she supports TTP.

on quotation marks, the administration at this website does not allow for emphasized speech in the titles. So I can neither bold nor italicize in titles. Take it up with Skinner.

So if you are attempting to be a grammar Nazi with me, perhaps you missed the thread where I stated that due to diminishing eyesight I rely on a voice to text app. It is limited as to what it will do for me. It misspells constantly. It also does not do single quotation marks. Nor Asterix.

It's time for Donald Trump to drop out of the race for president of the United States.

People who run for public office typically perform a great public service, regardless of whether they win on Election Day. That's particularly true of presidential candidates, most of whom must devote two years of their lives to hard-fought campaigns that involve staggering personal and financial sacrifices, all in an effort to serve their country.

And then there's Trump.

Meanwhile, a prominent civil rights group on Monday called for Trump to drop out of the race on account of his consistent "perpetuation of bigotry, fear and hatred."

"Since entering the race for the Republican Nomination, Trump has spewed hate rhetoric that has incited an increase in the number of attacks targeting Arab and Muslim Americans," officials with the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC), said in a statement.

"His campaign is based on the perpetuation of bigotry, fear and hatred.” Time and time again Trump has shown that he has no respect for the U.S. Constitution, and American values," they added.

"Trump is an embarrassment to the American electoral process, the Republican Party, democratic principles and the country. His words and actions continue to exhibit the worst America has to offer by playing into people's fears and biases through lies, deception and faulty logic," the statement read.

have past 8 months being some of the most noxious jerkholes the internet has ever seen--- while themselves ironically laying down a neverending pot-calling-kettlicious stream of bullshit about "berniebros" and the like.

I doubt too many people really think she's gonna drop out. But if it pisses off the Brock bots (Cough. "bluenationreview". Cough.) , I suspect it is mission accomplished for whoever started it.

But that's something your side has never wanted to discuss, is it?

67. You need to stop making a mockery of feminism and women's fight for equality.

Let me put that in Hillary supporter terms: "stop mansplaining" to us women. Whine, whine, whine, without taking any responsibility as a HUMAN BEING. You guys just keep setting back feminism every time you play the gender card to try to boost Hillary. Is she that weak of a candidate? Is she that weak a woman? If so, she should drop out. Pronto. At this point she should drop out to save feminism.

How fucking ridiculous. Bernie is being told to drop out every day by Hillary supporters to make way for a woman.

What a crock of shit, but then isn't this from that smearmongerer Brock's site? Shame on anyone posting his smears on here. Disgusting.

...which hashtag came first: #DropOutBernie vs #DropOutHillary

My recollection is that #DropOutBernie came first.

Maybe if Hillary's minions hadn't picked that fight, there would be no #DropOutHillary hashtag in the first place.

But no, that's too rational. I know, let's accuse the BernieBros of sexism! Yeah, that's the ticket!!

Poor, poor Hillary. Women shouldn't be as oppressed as she apparently is. It's a shame they kept her locked in the kitchen for the past 25 years. She might have made something of herself if the old, mean men had allowed it.

Vs Trump, we will be forced to hold our nose to vote for the lesser of two evils and that's so fucking sad!

Twitter is big now, so there are hashtags which say "DropOutBernie" and "DropOutHillary."

If Twitter had been big 8 years ago, there would have been hashtags saying "DropOutBarack" and "DropOutHillary," regardless of Obama being the lead.

David Brock is making money by portraying Sanders' supporters as sexist, but the rest of America should realize David Brock is a slimeball.

You spend the entire primary telling us how misogynist we are. Then you ask to vote for a woman in the general. That makes no sense.

Unless you are lying about the whole misogyny thing. But you wouldn't do something that disgusting.
