I am listening to Donald Trump in an interview on CNN I think...I cant imagine this

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by tammywammy (a host of the 2016 Postmortem forum).

country electing or allowing the election of this putrid and vile person as our president.

He has the maturity and personality of a 9 year old child.

I cant believe there is even a discussion about who our next president should be as in whether or not we would elect this asshole vs the Democrat.

Wow...

1. Interesting observation ...

He has the maturity and personality of a 9 year old child.

And his supporters look up to him. What conclusions can we draw from that?

2. How about what do we draw from the obvious fact that many seem

willing to accept him if they cant have Bernie.

Talk about insanity.

p.s.I was a Bernie supporter long long time ago and STILL am

This has nothing to do with Bernie, never did...his supporters are a different issue, however

or I guess I better say "some"

people can be persuaded, but not after you have called them crazy for disliking Clinton and what she represents.

Jesus, I cant stand her.

But I will vote for her if I have to, you see I can see what will happen if I dont.

Personally, I'd rather not be unified if it means marching in lockstep to a rigid and stale political brand with no allowance for dissent or possibility for reform.

(yes I'l vote for Clinton to stop trump, blah, blah, blah -- But I'm not going to support corporate centrist corrupt conservative bullshit.)

I don't suspect, IRL, you will be called on to do so; however, on DU ... the call to fight corporate centrist corrupt conservative bullshit, will go out on the day after the swearing in ceremony.

41. No I think on DU it will become stronger than ever....

and hopefully in the larger world too.

The 40 percent of people who voted for Bernie were sending a message. (And I suspect a lot of people who voted for Clinton prefer Sanders positions but only voted for "pragmatic" reasons. I know several of them in my own circle.)

17. Yeah maybe some but by no means many

And you think insulting Bernie supporters or guilt-tripping them is the best way to bring them over to your side?

Nobody likes voting for "the lesser of two evils".
(Not that I'm saying Hillary is "evil", but that's the expression)

PS - If you have a problem with some Bernie supporters perhaps it's not a great idea to stoop to their* level.
(*the few Bernie supporters you have a problem with)

20. C'mon, you must know the expression

Some people seem to be saying (in essence) "Yeah Hillary is horrible. She doesn't stand for many things I do. But at least she's better than Trump."

It's not a very inspiring position. Imagine if her new campaign slogan was "Well, at least I'm not the other guy."

Personally, I think anyone who believes any politician isnt, to some extent, is naive.

Bernie may be the one exception, but he evidently lost his bid.
