#1 reason for bernie supporters to vote hillary in teh general or vice versa

texas LT governor dan patrick and other top conservatives have begun floating the idea of a president trump nominating ted cruz as the next supreme court justice should trump win.

that may be the scariest thing ive heard.
imagine 35 years of ted cruz on the court.

ANY democrat is better than that.

so come novemner all dempcrats need to vote for teh nominee no matter who.

As Hillary has said, this primary is not over. Take her word for it.

Even with a GOP-controlled Senate (a near certainty with Hillary as the nominee...she'd be downballot poison), Cruz would have a tough time. He's roundly despised by most of his Senate colleagues, and at least a few would likely break ranks over that and join every single Democrat in rejecting him.

I don't trust Hillary one little bit to make good SCOTUS picks. I'd expect a corporate-friendly centrist from her...and as someone who very much wants that Citizens United horror overturned, that's not a whole lot more acceptable than Cruz.

The GOP is awful. And any candidate they put is by definition awful.

Been true since Nixon, and will likely always been true.

That does not mean Democrats should perpetually settle for neoliberal candidates who are in bed with Corporate America and Wall St banksters.

The establishment's game is up. We know that ALL Supreme Court judges belong to the same neocon faction and their only role is to help create a climate of fear during election season so that the frightened voters will vote for the neocon candidate.

Whether it is Roe v. Wade or any other case, they pretend that the balance swings one way or the other just to frighten you and get you to vote for the neocon corporatist. Nothing will change. The Supreme Court has the issue nailed to the fence. It won't fall to the left or right. The issue will sway one way or the other so that you the voter sway the way they want you to.

Game over for the establishment! BTW, if all of us unite and vote for Bernie Sanders, he will become POTUS. Hillary cannot win because her so-called victories so far depended on many voters being erased from the voter list. Without such tactics, Bernie Sanders would be ahead in the pledged delegates count by 425 delegates.

I see Cruz as a potential SCOTUS pick along with Christie.
That is even scarier.

Trump did say yesterday that his VP would be a politician though and I fully expect it to be someone who is either a minority or a woman. This rules Carson out as he isn't a politician BUT opens the door for someone like Rubio who is the Republican establishment candidate.

Lastly, I will vote for a candidate who represents me best. My vote is my own.

So if Cruz on the Supreme Court is a concern Sanders is the one that the party should nominate...we democrats love polls and polls show Sanders consistently beating trump between 14-28 points..and not one has ever shown him losing...Hillary wins some and loses some to Trump by much slimmer margins...the reason? Independents who overwhelmingly go for Sanders...and who represent about 42 percent of registered voters...Clinton supporters need to start focusing on the long game, the general election, and not on the short game, getting Clinton nominated, otherwise we are all going to be in for a rude awakening in November.

How do you suspect Trump will win when the polls have consistently showed less than 10% of the Hispanic population supports this guy. African-Americans, LGBT and Women have extremely low polling numbers for him too.

The high voter turnout is pretty much the core supporters Trump will have in the general election. In the end if the GOP party splinters over the lack of big name Republicans who refuse to endorse Trump, Hillary may win simply by a split between GOP voters.

Hillary just needs to appoint a great VP candidate like Julian Castro and she will be solid!

It doesn't work.

It seems like those who support Hillary are saying 'don't look at who or what she is, just be scared of everything else.'

Fear is an emotion, not a reason.
