(6,282 posts)I particularly like this gem:
both Jane & Bernie the liars they are in running a campaign scam on America by presenting themselves as something they are definately NOT even close to.
The longer he stays in the race the more these damning truths will be revealed.
Bernie Sanders, Koch paid Tool of the TeaParty.
He's simply the Sara Palin of the 2016 Race.
Explains why McCain says he'll vote Clinton over Trump (& not bernie).
McCain has seen this reality show before & it ushered in the Palin /Koch Teaparty that destroyed his Republican Party.
FEC wants answers next wednesday, May 11.
Still unaccounted for, is the mysterious $10 million campaign cash dump.
Jesus, what a hateful screed.

(67,782 posts)....(MSNBC during an interview by Andrea Mitchell), that their 2015 tax returns would be released "when they're due", which was April 18, sixteen days ago.
Still no tax returns. And on top of that, they've requested a 45 day extension for filing Sanders' FEC mandated Personal Financial Disclosure which, if granted, conveniently falls about a week after the last Primary.
Do you think there's something in those 2015 tax returns or that financial disclosure that might be, let's say...embarrassing?
Getting back to the topic, though, the fact is that Bernie Sanders was instrumental in Federal legislation that allowed toxic waste from VERMONT to be shipped to Texas, and Jane Sanders (his wife) was a member of the Commission that decided where that toxic waste from VERMONT would be shipped. And she got PAID for it, and continues to be paid for it.

(6,282 posts)I noticed that line in the tax returns when it came out, and was disappointed. It's a conflict of interest.
Yes, there may be things in the 2015 returns that are also embarrassing.
Yes, he should release the 2015 returns stat.

(6,282 posts)Mostly because I don't believe for a second all the theories I see about $10MM contributions. I have posted before about how I think that's a giant misunderstanding about how FEC filings work.

Paul Wellstone and Bernie Sanders both opposed the Iraq War, which occurred over their objections. Unlike the Sierra Blanca plan, which wasn't implemented.

(45,319 posts)facility for many years. When the Federal Government ordered NY to stop dumping their sewage sludge into the Atlantic Ocean, NY's solution was 'The Poo Poo Choo-choo', endless trains of NYC sludge taken by train to Sierra Blanca Texas.
New York's Sewage Was a Texas Town's Gold
" It is hard to imagine places more different than New York and Sierra Blanca, and the contrast has always underscored the mercenary marriage between the nation's largest city and the small town where it has dumped its sewage since 1992. That year, after Congress had prohibited the city from dumping its sludge in the Atlantic Ocean, New York signed contracts with several companies to treat and transport its sewage. One of them was a Long Island joint venture, which began shipping up to 250 tons every day on the 2,065-mile journey to West Texas. The Texas Observer, the political journal, recently called it ''the poo-poo choo-choo.''
The Long Island company, Merco, had first sought a site in Oklahoma, but after meeting resistance there learned about a failed resort called the Mile High Ranch in Sierra Blanca. The company purchased the 81,000-acre area so that the treated sludge could be spread on ''application areas'' as if it were fertilizer. The company rotates the areas of land chosen to absorb the sludge. "

llegal Dumping At Sierra Blanca
In 1999, Merco admitted that it had spread sludge from New York that had not been properly treated to reduce pathogens - a state and federal requirement. (12) Merco had previously been caught spreading untreated sludge and fined $12,800 in 1994, a sum unlikely to deter illegal dumping on a contract valued at $168 million dollars over five years. Instead of requiring that the sludge be treated before it is shipped, as is required by law, the TNRCC simply suggested that Merco mix the untreated sludge with lime on site to bring the pathogen levels up to Class B standards.

I find it interesting that Clinton Supporters never know the actual history of the places like Sierra Blanca which they attempt to exploit rhetorically. If they cared about Sierra Blanca, they would know about Sierra Blanca. But they don't.
