And her server was so overloaded with secrets she needed a new one. That and she'd milked the job as much as she could and Obama decided she could not be trusted because the FBI was on her trail.

2. Most do resign after a 4 year term. She has been a private citizen

Christopher (Bill Clinton) and Rice (Bush) both left at the end of the first term of the president that appointed them. Going back further, there are only a handful of examples in the last half century of Secretaries of State serving more than four years.

8. Rarely do SOS stay for a second term.

It's a physically brutal job. A SOS spends most of his/her time traveling and it takes its toll. George Shultz was the last SOS to stay in office more than 4 years. He was Reagan's SOS for 7 years.
