He has shown consistently that people are more important to him than politics. The opposite of Romney, who tried to make poliitcal hay off the death in Libya.

You will get some saying, "It's a shame he is using this event for political gain..."

But, I see this as the final part of the campaign and Mitt's record.

RWNJs will somehow claim Obama is responsible for the hurricane anyway.

Romney will claim responsibility for saving lives or something, too.

He should throw his arms around the Republican governors of New Jersey, Pennsylvannia, Virgina, etc. (That might be a little hard in the case of Christie) and just get in there and be a hero.

Obama's actions are louder than words. IF they do they need someone like Harry Reid to press it or someone in the liberal news.

upon the president. Now is the time for the President to look bipartisan for the greater good. Chris Christy has praised the president. They aren't criticizing him. Let them be the first to criticize then Obama can throw Romney's defunding of FEMA in their face. HIM looking and acting presidential is louder than any political ad. I am sorry you feel it's BS. That's just how I feel about it.

It's that simple. Romney's post-Sandy actions would be devastating to hundreds of thousands of people, if not millions. Only those with privatized insurance would be able to restore damage to their property. Is it fair to present that as a distinct possibility? Fuck yes.

Someone has to cut through the self-imposed media fog and expose these Randian types for what they are.

On edit: I'd buy a lot of AM radio slots and use it there also. When the power goes out, they'll have a captive audience. Sounds cynical, but there you are.

It's policy. It's important. FEMA, after all, is ABOUT disaster. Frankly, if my hhouse gets blown away they can come to my property and film the damn ad.

Oh, and I second that obligation thing.

Glad to see Romney's primary stance against Fema brought up prominently . Thomas Roberts is current host who brought this out just a couple minutes ago. He is covering campaigns and which campaign gets stalled the most. (probably Romneys ) Joe Lockhart just came on reiterating how this storm can undermine Repubs and Romneys nti-govt stance because it shows how important govt can be in cases of disaster

And soon!
