NY Times: Sanders "change in his campaign tone - focusing less on attacking Hillary Clinton"

Senator Bernie Sanders spent Thursday afternoon laying out in more detail than usual his views for shaping the Democratic Party’s agenda and the need for elected officials to focus on achieving progressive political goals.

The change in his campaign tone — focusing less on attacking Hillary Clinton — comes as the Vermont senator lays off staff members after several tough losses on Tuesday. Though Mr. Sanders remains adamant that he wants to win the Democratic presidential nomination, his shift hints that the senator is looking past the nominating fight and toward a future role in shaping the party.

At a rally Thursday in Springfield, Ore., Mr. Sanders spoke at length about how Democrats had not spent enough time trying to help working-class people obtain adequate health care and higher wages.

Its only in the Senate because its not possible.

When Dems had both houses + Presidency, why didn't they put that bill on the table? All we have to show for voting for change in 08 in MASSIVE numbers is GOP health care plan from the 90s, put together by the pharma/insurance companies.

And who in Camp Clinton thought it was a good idea to have one of their corp media buddies go after Trump's wife? I think Trump will hit back hard and I don't think it is going to go over well with some women...

elected officials running away from the word populist I was stunned. For some reason I thought the Democratic Party was the party for the common people.

And I stand by my comment. I think it was crazy to go after Trump's wife. I guess I should just sit back and enjoy the show.

14. I saw this segment on CNN (I think). Anyway, there was an article written about Trump's wife.

The writer was a woman. They had a woman on from each side to discuss. I guess they even went to her home country to interview people. The comments they highlighted were really snarky. The women on the panel discussed how she could afford a nanny but chose to be a stay home mom without a nanny. Nothing like reviving a feminist argument that I thought was put to rest long ago.

I'd be surprised if Trump didn't really go after the Clintons over this. I think he realizes the Clintons have a LOT of friends in the media to do their bidding.

Anyway, I was only half listening so that is the best I can do.
