2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumCalifornia: Caucus Is this Sunday May 1st
This Sunday, there will be special "Delegate Caucus" events in every corner of California, and we're hoping to fill them with strong Bernie supporters.
At your local caucus event, you'll have the opportunity to elect the delegates who can travel to support Bernie at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia in July. You can just show up to your local caucus and vote quickly, or you can stay to hear speeches and meet with other Bernie supporters that live near you.
Please join us on Sunday at the event closest to you:

(10,132 posts)This caucus is to pick the actual human beings who will go to Philadelphia and (at least on the first ballot) cast their vote for whomever. If Sanders wins their section, the Sanders delegates go; if Clinton does, the Clinton delegates go. This was explained to me in more detail than I remember at a dinner last week, and the people on both sides seemed to agree on the process, but there was a lot of wine and I may have missed some fine points.

(7,321 posts)I will be happily voting for Tony Brasunas as a Delegate for Bernie Sanders. Not only is Tony a fierce advocate, tireless activist and volunteer for Bernie Sanders GOTV campaign, he is a close neighbor of mine, and blog writer published in the Huff Post.
Here's a piece published just after the New York primary, an excellent read with detailed information some may have missed regarding that process.
