2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumRemember Republicans arguing Gore was trying to steal the vote even though voters had been purged
from voting rolls, and all other types of "stop the Gore vote" stuff had occurred which clearly demonstrated that the vote did not clearly support a Bush win.
I do. Oh, the irony. Who would ever have imagined...
To act like the pledged delegate totals are the end all be all while ignoring what has occurred throughout the primary process makes me think of that time...
Bernie believes even if you aren't going to vote for him, you have a right to vote unimpeded by political maneuvering. I always thought that was a commonly held believe of the Democratic Party.

(1,065 posts)"Republicans" did it. Which still doesn't make it okay and not brushed off.

(30,481 posts)We really don't need clarification considering how clear the words coming from the Sanders campaign are.
They are outright stating that their goal is to subvert the will of the voters.

(11,641 posts)Tant's husband was one of the lawyers on Bush's team to stop the recount in Florida.
DWS pushed for Tant to become the Dem chairperson in Florida. DWS & Tant are pushing former republicans as new Democrats like Patrick Murphy for office.
Murphy even after switching to a Dem voted for the the Benghazi hearings.
You can't make this stuff up. It would be comical if it weren't true....

(30,481 posts)I'm glad I don't feel desperate enough to have to make them.
Weave and Sanders are currently and directly trying to subvert the will of the voters.
That is a direct line connection to his own words. From one person, to husband, to corporation, to DWS, to one person again, to a different person, to the Benghazi hearings,....
That is literally your logical flow.

(11,641 posts)I'm sorry if this is too difficult to understand.
And you're defense of Tant and her husband's roles in the 2000 recount by screaming Bacon is just sad.....

(11,641 posts)Sorry but you Hillary supporters like to have your cake and eat it too.
What's fair for the goose is fair for the gander.
You just don't like it when the tables may be turned.
Do I think it will happen? No.
Do I think it would be good thing to have the super delegates go against the will of the people? No.
Do I feel like Hillary has already played the super delegate card against the will of the people? Hell yes!
Even the TV news has put the super delegates in the win column for her as if it's ok.
So spare me your outrage. Your candidate has used every legal but dirty trick. It's time Sanders fought fire with fire....

The tables may be turned? lol. I find that to be funny. To me the tables turning would be going from Obama to Trump. I'm big for Clinton. Really excited to continue to build off the success of Obama. Once again, the exact opposite of outrage. Maybe you don't recognize optimism.
This is literally the argument you made: From one person, to husband, to corporation, to DWS, to one person again, to a different person, to the Benghazi hearings,....
I'm not outraged, I'm amused.

(7,719 posts)Kinda like FAUX NEWS that went to court to get the right to lie to their viewers. I don't believe a single word any republican says. Lying is acceptable, and even encouraged, it seems. Yeah, yeah, all politicans lie, but the republicans have it mastered!
