Bernie Sanders 'honoured' to meet Pope Francis at Vatican

http://www.bbc.com/news/election-us-2016-36061855

The brief meeting took place on Saturday morning at Pope Francis's residence before he left to meet migrants on the Greek island of Lesbos.
Senator Sanders described the Pope as one of the "extraordinary figures... in modern world history".
An aide said the meeting lasted five minutes and no photographs were taken.
Mr Sanders told Associated Press: "I told him that I was incredibly appreciative of the incredible role that he is playing in this planet in discussing issues about the need for an economy based on morality, not greed.
"It was a real honour for me, for my wife and I to spend some time with him. I think he is one of the extraordinary figures not only in the world today but in modern world history."
Mr Sanders had been in the Vatican to attend a conference on economy and social justice.
Late on Friday he fulfilled his promise to release his tax return, which showed that he had taxable income of $205,000 (£144,000) in 2014, the majority of it from his Senate salary. He and his wife paid $27,000 tax.

Oh man, this must be eating up a lot of Hillary supporter's insides. They swore up and down that he would not be meeting with the Pope and that he wasted a trip. What will the new spin be?

Regarding a moral and just economy and concern for the poor as well as their agreement that climate change is a dangerous man made reality that threatens all life on earth and must be addressed.

He was acting improperly because he didn't spend his time there screaming obscenities as the Pontiff regarding the church's antiquated views on some social issue that the Church and Sanders disagree on.

When you meet they pope, (they appear to believe), one should show hatred and toss insults at him, therefore, Sanders was negligent and does not understand proper diplomatic behavior regarding meeting the Pope.

I infer they contend that a true states-person like Clinton would have treated Pope Francis as an evil dictator worthy of scorn, confrontation and derision.

Understandable as many Clinton supporters (especially her financial supporters) do idolize money and eschew economic morality and since the pontiff insulted their God (money) they are quite outraged on the stances he has taken regarding their golden calf and the sacrifice of a living world and it's inhabitants their God demands must be fed to their Demi-God the fossil fuel industry (an important part of their idol pantheon) in order for it to obtain it's billions as tribute.

now it never happened because there are no pictures - except the geniuses don't realize pictures aren't allowed in the residence. Derp!

They're in denial, it's the first stage of grief, take pity on them.
