To be interviewed by Norah O'Donnell and Charlie Rose.
He will be discussing foreign policy and politics.
Rumor on Twitter is that he may endorse Obama.
Stay tuned . . .

(14,093 posts)though I found this from earlier in the year, so I really doubt it:
Last year, Powell told graduates of South Carolina's premier historically black university that, among other things, he had been particularly heartened by a recent event.
"That was when President Obama took out his birth certificate and blew away Donald Trump and all the birthers," he told students at South Carolina State University. That was a reference to those who doubt Obama was born in the U.S.

(827 posts)Republicans weren't as vile when it came to race relations as they've gotten recently. I'm sure that's why he's stayed away. He knows he can help Republicans return to some sanity by helping Obama win and making them re-assess how they approach governing.
We can hope at least.

(45,788 posts)so I would assume he is leaning that way again. Or maybe he will announce that he's not endorsing anyone this time around.

Seriously. I think a lot of moderate Republicans, especially those who are veterans, hold Colin Powell in high esteem. If they're still on the fence after Monday night, this should be enough to bring them to our side.
