I think you may be confusing "facts" with "opinions", that may, or may not, be informed by facts.

Usually by word choice, or leaving out important context, with the intent of giving false impressions about the meaning or importance of the fact.

When caught trying to manipulate someone with said fact, you get huffy and say (nod-nod-wink-wink), "But, it's a FACT!"
