All political candidates are fake. All of them try to make you believe they're on your side, whether or not they are. They do that "common man" thing even if they're millionaires. They make those speeches about "...the values and beliefs we all cherish..." And we buy into, most of us, every time. We know it can't be literally true, but we have to put our faith in someone.

Mon Apr 4, 2016, 12:44 AM
Apr 2016

First, it is nonsensical that the Secretary of State would have been instructed to run to to the car to avoid sniper fire. The military would have cleared the area of all threats before she or anybody else was allowed to step off the plane. Or if they had known about it in advance, they probably would have not even landed and diverted to another location.

But even if there had not been footage of it to contradict her, Chelsea was right there and had to know the whole story was a lie. Can you imagine telling a bald faced lie that is not only evident to your daughter, but that might put her in the position of having to defend it at some point and risk her own reputation?

But she has no judgment, trusts nobody outside of her inner circle, doesn't know her own blind spots.

She can talk about how she went to over 110 countries "on your behalf" as I heard her tell an audience in the last couple of days, and talk about how many foreign leaders she knows by name and has looked in the eyes. But her track record shows she has poor judgment and is too hawkish.

Bernie can't name drop with her, but he is the one who has had the judgment to say OK, what happens after we topple this bad guy? Who steps into the void? What are the possible unintended consequences?

I don't care if Sanders has been consistent, matter of fact I don't count that as much of a virtue as being correct or right on his positions.

I don't mind if someone changes for the better and looking at both of them being human and as fucked up as everyone else I've got no real reasons to impugn HRC's integrity as Sanders has.

Sanders votes for immunity for corporations and somehow that's LESS "corrupting"... do people read what the right these days!?!?

But, to the main point-- fairly or unfairly, Sanders has the appearance of being far more honest than HRC.

I do think someone would have a hard time putting together a video like the one in the OP, showing Sanders contradicting himself so much over the years.

Just something else I think about whenever I see her speak publicly - Bill Clinton, imo, brought about so many destructive policies and changes that she's now having to claim she's against, while not mentioning his role in them or even bringing up his name. That's got to be pretty delicate territory - every interview a potential minefield for her. .
