Posted on Mar 30, 2016
Jill Abramson reported in The Guardian on Monday that PolitiFact, a Pulitzer prize-winning fact-checking organization, judged Hillary Clinton to have the best truth-telling record of any of the 2016 presidential candidates.
PolitiFact judged 43 of Clintons claims, nearly one quarter of all of her claims that the organization investigated, to be true. That compares with 12 of Bernie Sanders claims, or 15 percent of those investigated.
Fifty-five percent of claims by Sanders that the organization investigated were either true, mostly true or half-true, compared with 72 percent by Clinton. These numbers mean little on their own, as they are limited by the number of claims by each candidate that the organization decided to devote time and resources to investigating.
Of those investigated, PolitiFact judged 3 percent of Republican Donald Trumps claims to be true, and 6 percent of Ted Cruzs.

(55,981 posts)she was asked by the Republicons. She said:
"It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons. Should he succeed in that endeavor, he could alter the political and security landscape of the Middle East, which as we know all too well affects American security."
Not only were these lies, they were Republicon lies. Her friends got wealthier from profits from the war.

(56,582 posts)I think she's nowhere near as good at saying what people want to hear as Sanders is (and I find the "weathervane" attack on her very Rovian in that sense). But, this is a cycle where telling uncomfortable truths won't win, so we need the demagogue. Go Sanders...

She's is bought and paid for fossil fuel shill and this election cycle and her recent outburst just further validates that fact

(5,252 posts)Whether she's lying or telling the truth is often irrelevant. Over time, she's honest on both sides of issues. Like, she honestly believed TPP was "the gold standard" of trade policies, and now she honestly believes it's a bad policy.
No lies necessary when you play both sides constantly.
Then there are the lies you can't prove, but you know she's full of shit. Like, she's immune to WS money and, did she just admit she made a quid pro quo with Bush for her Iraq war vote????
