Heard this on Diane Rehm's show this morning from one of the pollsters. If that is the case, the "missing cell phone users" issue may be big. Don't know what specific law he was referring to but I think it was the guy from Pew that said this if I am not mistaken.

In NYC, for instance, they can't call any 917 area code number.

(825 posts)We get robo-calls from the Arizona republican party office (I recalled the number after the robo-call), and we have been called numerous times by poll takers.
Both of our phones are registered on the "do not call list." I think political calls are exempted by law for calling cel-phones???
We are 30 miles from the nearest land-line phone.
