(332 posts)This is still the United States of America,so people are free to vote for their dog as far as I care. If you start telling people how to vote, you might as be one of those Cultural Revolution types that nearly destroyed China back n the 1960s and 70s .

Not the best choice but it is what it is.

(45,251 posts)However, life usually offers more than two options. Also, there is a long-term horror versus a short-term horror to consider.
However, in this matter, people are unlikely to change whatever mindset they have, certainly not in a matter of months.

(12,606 posts)Hillary will be the Dem nominee.
If you don't vote for Hillary then you will get Trump. The old "boogeyman" argument.
The second one may be meaningless to many. It would dependents if they do not believe that either Clinton or Trump represents their interests.
There is a lot of baggage around Clinton that gives rise to the "questionable candidate" factor such as her honesty and integrity. Being caught in lies is not a right wing smear and neither is the appearance of impropriety WRT her home base email server while SOS. The impropriety is in deception and practice. She's also not my pick WRT Israel since they are an active apartheid state while also being engaged in wholesale land theft.
She's not a liberal or progressive...no matter the spin that they put on her.
She's an apparent corporate Wall Street enabler: a 180 from Bernie Sanders
She's just not my choice for anything.

(6,896 posts)Seems like any thinking voter would be appalled at the Thomas confirmation hearings and the way women were mistreated during and in the lead up.
At least we know better than to work with the sorts of devious people who forced that nomination upon our bench.
People like David Brock and Joe Biden.
never again.

(1,198 posts)gonna have to fight the new wars, and my Wall Street broker throws a huge Christmas party and so the money DOES trickle down eventually, and we don't really WANT a $15 minimum wage because we're past the minimum wage entry level position, and NAFTA brought us all kinds of cheap stuff at the WalMart, didn't it?

These two articles turned me into a Hillary supporter months ago.
I challenge any of the Bernie supporters here to actually read these two articles in their entirety, with an open mind.

She was the 67th United States Secretary of State from 2009 to 2013. From 2001 to 2009, Clinton served as a United States Senator from New York. She is the wife of the 42nd President of the United States Bill Clinton, and was First Lady of the United States during his tenure from 1993 to 2001."

Variations of the above seem to be the usual stuff hurled at me, since I am known NOT to want to vote for Clinton (certainly not while the primaries last).
Does that answer your question?

(2,872 posts)are EXACTLY why I won't be voting for her. I'm in a deep Red state-- it doesn't matter who I vote for; so I actually can go on principle here.

Voting is a personal choice. Folks should vote for who they want. I never try to persuade someone.
