A Dozen Reasons Sanders Voters Are Justifiably Angry at the Media Right Now

Here's a nice one a friend sent to me

A Dozen Reasons Sanders Voters Are Justifiably Angry at the Media Right Now

1. Sanders leads Clinton in the most recent national poll.

2. Sanders decimates Clinton in head-to-head battleground-state polling involving Donald Trump.

3. The final word on electoral math, FiveThirtyEight.com, has Sanders at about 90% of his “delegate target” for winning the nomination via pledged delegates.

4. Election Day voting results matter too — they tell us what voters are thinking when they’ve reached peak pre-election familiarity with a candidate — and in battleground states Bernie ties or beats Clinton more often than not in “live” voting.

5. If Clinton is generating lasting excitement among voters, you wouldn’t know it by going to a Clinton event.

That I’ve been able to find online thus far, Clinton’s largest rally this election cycle (by far) boasted 5,500 people. MSNBC says “her biggest events get up to around 4,000.”

6. Twenty-five. Sanders is one of the most experienced officials in American government, and not just because he got so much legislation passed via amendment in the House of Representatives that he was dubbed “the Amendment King of the U.S. Congress.”

7. $140 million.

That’s a number, right? It’s the amount of money raised in the most populist campaign-funding process ever employed by a candidate for President of the United States.

8. 2,383. hat’s the number of delegates Hillary Clinton needs to reach to secure the Democratic nomination without super-delegates. Nate Silver — the nation’s top polling expert — says it is “very possible” she won’t get to that number, which means Bernie Sanders will be in Philadelphia this summer trying to make his case to super-delegates that he’s more electable than Hillary.

9. Twenty-four.

That’s how many points Bernie Sanders beats Trump by in the latest head-to-head polling

11. So how about those independents? We got any polling on these guys? Fact: In battleground states, Clinton usually loses independents to Sanders by 35 to 40 points.

12. Unfortunately, Clinton isn’t just uninspiring. She’s disliked.

3. There is a sense of fear...

I have a strong feeling that those in the Clinton camp did not expect this to take place. They were "lowering expectations" like they did on Super Tuesday, in hopes to drive momentum to her side. Except this time, it backfired and just like that, almost 1/3 of her lead is gone--in one day. I believe if Bernie continues the streak and so happens to pull an upset in NY, this race is now in Bernie's hands. The amount of panic will be, bar-none, inevitable and at that point, 2008 happens all over again.

I have this suspicious feeling that something is going to transpire and completely knock the political world off its axis.

They both have the same target to get to, he is under 100, she is over that is why he has to overperform and she doesn't but whatever

...not matter.

Position on issues does not matter, where campaign $ comes from does not matter, saying you are against an issue while supporting it behind closed doors does not matter, how you conduct business to ensure material is secure does not matter, performance in previous jobs does not matter, the very real aspect of getting decimated in the GE because of history brought to the GE does not matter.

What matters is the history made by being the first woman president...nothing else.

9. I am starting to believe that too

I don't want to believe it.
I have never said it out loud.
But instead of talking and debating about issues between the candidates and telling me why I am wrong and should reconsider and vote for Hillary, I am told
I believe in "unicorns" or
"no one has ever been more prepared to be POTUS than Mrs Clinton"
"Being angry is not a strategy"
"How is he going to do everything he says?" ect,ect..

More often than not I literally don't know what some of my fellow Dems who support Hillary are thinking.
That little voice in the back of my head (that you put into words) just gets louder and louder.
Sigh.....

Some of us on another discussion board have had a letter writing campaign going, calling the mainstream media out on the Bernie Blackout and 24/ 7 Trump-o-thon, along with the "presumptive nominee" propaganda that they keep using to promote Hillary. It seems to be working! Here's the particulars if you would like to join us!

General media contact information, including emails, addresses, and phone numbers:
http://fair.org/take-action-now/media-activism-kit/media-contact-list/

Other than voting, donating to Bernie, and talking to people you know about Bernie's policy positions and history, THE SINGLE GREATEST THING you can do to help his campaign is to WRITE A HARD COPY LETTER to the media protesting their Bernie Blackout and wall to wall Trump coverage! Mention that you will be contacting and boycotting their advertisers if they continue the Bernie blackout and Trump "infomercials". I know people who work in newsrooms, and I am told that one hard copy letter has the weight of 100 emails to a news director. This is, they have added, a huge reason why the media skews to the Right; right wingers mail in letters frequently, the Left never does, so the perception is that only the right wing is dissatisfied with their "reporting". Let us change that notion TODAY!

Please borrow time from posting here and on Facebook TODAY to write letters to FIVE of the organizations listed below. When finished, post the text of your letter and who you contacted to this thread.

ABC News: 147 Columbus Ave. New York, NY 10023

CBS News: 524 W. 57 St. New York, NY 10019

NBC News: 30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, N.Y. 10112

MSNBC: One MSNBC Plaza, Secaucus, NJ 07094

CNN: One CNN Center, Atlanta, GA, 30303

New York Times: 620 8th Ave. New York, NY 10018

The Washington Post: 1301 K Street NW, Washington DC 20071

National Public Radio: 1111 N. Capitol St, NE, Washington DC, DC 20002

Associated Press: 450 West 33rd St. New York, NY 10001 <<<<<<< RESPONSIBLE FOR CALLING AZ WITH ONLY 2% OF THE VOTE IN, WHEN THEY KNEW THERE WAS MASSIVE ELECTION FRAUD TAKING PLACE!!

8. How about media announcing results before all the polls are even closed?
Sun Mar 27, 2016, 02:26 AM
Mar 2016

I thought that was illegal--or at least in the past the media had agreed to refrain from making projections of the winner on election day until all the polls in a state were closed. Apparently not, at least not this year.

Number 8 will never happen. Hillary is ahead in pledged delegates. Sanders has done well in caucus states, like tonight's, but Hillary does well in closed primaries in more diverse states. The super delegates are not going to switch to the candidate who goes to the convention with less pledged delegates. In 2008, super delegates switched to Obama because he was ahead by a bit over 100 pledged delegates. Hillary's count will be higher than his was that year.

12. AK is pretty diverse, far less white than Illinois or Texas or South Carolina. Hawaii is the least

white State in the Union, Oklahoma is less white than the US as a whole, less white than Illinois and has the largest Native American population in the continental US.

I think that 'diversity' train has left the station. Diverse means diverse. It does not mean 'Lots of older Baptists' it means lots of variety of persons and communities. I hear that the South is super diverse but to be blunt every Southern State has laws allowing discrimination against LGBT and thus most leave those States. They are in that way anti diversity, two new anti gay laws this week, passed with Democratic votes against diversity. 'We seek to deny services to some minorities here but honor us for being deeply diverse and tolerant'. Not buying that fully. Not buying the 'The anti gay States are the best and only States that count' routine. Sorry. Got anything else, maybe with a less aggressive heel?

If it had been Trump and Cruz, MSNBC and CNN would have stayed on political programming. Instead, we got a scroll on the bottom of the screen and the usual late night schlocky MSNBC shows and a rerun of "Race to the White House" on CNN. If it's not Trump, apparently it's not news.
