OK, about "Women in Binders"...

maybe I missed the discussion, but when I hear it that way the first thing I think about is a little bondage going on in the office.

Everyone knows what a binder is, and when I was working in real jobs it was normal for high-level resumes to be delivered and held in decent binders-- leather even. Called them portfolios when we wanted to sound fussy, and you can still buy them in Staples.

But, although I know exactly what he was talking about, the first thing that entered my mind was fuzzy handcuffs. Mind you, I know more about portfolios and Avery binders than I do about B&D, but that's what got the attention of my dirty little mind.

Is this the dirty secret no one dares admit? Or did I just miss the snicker party?

Them into Mexico. I really struck me as a polygamy notion, to put your women, your wives in binders.

He kept asking if that's what it meant, and brought up the term "Of Human Bondage" and then quickly said "It's a great novel!"
