Bill Clinton/Dolores Huerta in AZ - 1,100 Attend
Former President Bill Clinton on Sunday returned to Arizona, the state he carried 20 years ago, to campaign on behalf of his wife, Hillary Clinton, two days ahead of the state's primary.
Clinton, the 42nd president who in 1996 became the only Democrat since President Harry Truman to win the Grand Canyon State, appeared at an afternoon rally at Central High School in Phoenix after he was scheduled to appear at a Tucson event with former U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, D-Ariz. In Phoenix, Clinton was joined by farm labor leader and Hispanic civil rights activist Dolores Huerta, who spoke before him. The former president and Huerta were greeted by a capacity crowd of 1,100 people in the school's gymnasium. "This is Hillary's army right here," Huerta said, urging audience members to help get out the vote. She led the supporters in a chant of "Viva Hillary Clinton!" http://www.azcentral.com/story/news/politics/elections/2016/03/20/bill-clinton-stumps-hillary-clinton-phoenix/82053000/ Wow, only 1,100 to see both Bill & Dolores?

2. As it turns out it's the # of votes which matter.
Right now that favors Hillary... that could change.

4. I had the opportunity to see both of them in 2014
They came to Oxnard, California to speak for Democrats running for office here and the gym was filled. That aside, filling the place to capacity is pretty good. While it is nice to fill up a venue, it doesn't say much about votes.

6. Must have been great
I live in Kentucky so I haven't had the opportunity to see Dolores. I wish she would come here. Did you get to see the late Cesar Chavez?
I did see Bill in Kentucky when he ran in 1992. He held a huge rally outside of the Slugger Museum. |

7. I never saw Cesar Chavez
He passed away when I was quite young, so unfortunately I never saw him. I can say that Dolores is quite inspiring and really knows how to get the crowd going, so it is quite a moving experience to see her speak.

8. I'll bet
She's a remarkable woman.
I remember in the late 60s the grape boycott led by Chavez. We loved grapes in my home but we wouldn't buy them until the strike was over and the union contract was signed. I still think of Cesar Chavez whenever I eat grapes. I wish I could have met him. |

5. Sanders' voters like his gigs, but not many more than attendees turn out at polls where
it counts.
