down, maybe to do another interview.
Thanks to Revanchist for providing the direct link!!!
But the video with Jane Sanders should be viewed as well, some Clinton supporters were saying that Jane Sanders had a planned meeting with Arpaio and or a photo op with him, that is simply not true.

http://www.12news.com/news/politics/jane-sanders-meets-with-sheriff-joe-arpaio-tours-tent-city/82814617
The full interview comes on directly after the interview with Jane Sanders.
"Jane Sanders wasn't planning a tour of Tent City on Monday, but Sheriff Joe Arpaio made her an offer she couldn't refuse.
Sanders planned to view Tent City from the fence, with the help of Puente leader Carlos Garcia. But Arpaio hustled over here from another news conference ..."
Hustled over ... NO MEETING was planned with Arpaio, he came and 'crashed' her meeting with Carlos Garcia.

But, she's not the candidate, so she should be "close" to off limits in my opinion.
I think it's wrong to attack the family, even if they're in the public eye.

(10,751 posts)Are Hillary supporters attacking... a... woman?????
How can that be?
Hillary Clinton, the woman who got her political start as First Lady by trying (and, it must be noted, failing) to fix our broken health care system, would begrudge another woman taking an active role in her husband's campaign? Or is it only her faux-feminist followers who do that?

(3,649 posts)They've crossed the line into "negative campaigning" in my opinion. It's one thing to compare candidates' records, but it's another thing to distort reality and mischaracterize positions. Clinton supporters and her campaign have crossed that line.

(12,530 posts)I'll never forget some of the names associated with it. And I'll never forget many of the lies that I'm able to document in ironclad fashion. The rules of the site almost guarantee that some people are in for a very big and unpleasant shock come November. The rest of the world will have already steeled itself against what's coming.

(2,262 posts)He didn't like having someone else determine when the interview was finished. But the Clintonite interpretation was bull.
CoffeeCat
(24,411 posts)when I saw Hillary fans admonishing Jane Sanders for meeting with Joe Arpaio. They were furiously hand wringing over the notion that Jane would dare to meet with a racist.
Turns out, there was no formal meeting. He blustered in like the Kool Aid guy, while she was touring tent city.
And this putz of a reporter seemed to be working REALLY HARD to further the same talking points. Bernie was having none of it and he spelled out clearly what had happened to that reporter and quickly pivoted to another subject.
Then, the reporter's next question was about Bernie's ties to the Minutemen.
Seriously????
And that shithead reporter wondered why the interview was cut short?
I don't think any Sanders supporter should shy away from admitting that the interview was cut short. Good! That reporter was a hack who was playing National Enquirer games with Sanders. He wasn't interested in a substantive interview. He was furthering destructive, and lie-based talking points. What's the point of being interviewed and wasting your time with someone who was so unprofessional?

(8,541 posts)And he doesn't walk away. He does stand up abruptly and takes of his Mike but he justs stands there.
I want to know what the question was.
sufrommich
(22,871 posts)the station claimed he did, told the interviewer the interview was over, took off his Mic and walked away. It's pretty obvious from the tape that the interviewer was getting under Sanders skin way before he took his Mic off too. He was angry about the questions he was being asked.
NWCorona
(8,541 posts)As this has been a point of contention. I'm not denying that Sanders seemed pissed but the video still doesn't show him walking off.
still_one
(92,116 posts)and why did those who edited the video present it that way?
I only saw the edited video, but he seemed to be doing just fine with his answers in the interview, so it does seem weird that he would appear to walk away when the interview was not complete.
NWCorona
(8,541 posts)It just seems odd and given the hoopla you'd figure we would have seen the whole thing by now.
zalinda
(5,621 posts)for a later broadcast. It had the tag line that Sanders walked away from the interview. When watching the entire video, Sanders did not walk away, he stood up. It was the reporter who said he walked away, and Sanders corrected him and said that he gave him the 4 minutes that was agreed upon.
The room was set up as most rooms are for multiple interviews, the lighting stays, but reporters bring in the cameras and mics. Each reporter is given so many minutes, what they do with them is their responsibility. This happens not only for video reporters but also those who write for papers. If Sanders (or any other politician ) had to go to a separate place for each interview, nothing would get done.
As for the Jane Sanders clip, that was heavily edited. It almost seemed like the interview didn't start until the Sheriff showed up. That video was a complete fuck you to Sanders.

You just have to let the video run, he takes off the microphone and then sits down in the chair again, guessing another interview???

(24,853 posts)So many of Hillary's supporters are wound around the historical aspect of having a female elected President that no lie is out of bounds, no behavior is disallowed, no bullshit doesn't fly high and straight. #44TimesAMan has played itself out already.
I'm down for a female President but Hillary's the wrong person at the right moment and that's too bad for all of us.

(1,890 posts)I clicked on the first link in the OP and I saw where he sat back down. He did not walk away. The original narrative on this event was wrong. Anyone can make a mistake like this when someone with no ethics edits the truth out of a video and unsuspecting people post it. Now that we know the original video was deceitful I think those who used it to tarnish Sanders need to own up to the fact that they were unwittingly used. It's the honorable thing to do. Maybe this should be a lesson to all of us to be wary of posting things that can easily blow up in our faces.
