Freepers claiming Crowley was wrong on the facts about Libya

and what Obama said. I don't get it - I looked for any evidence of this, I looked at the tape of the statement Obama made, and he clearly said "acts of terror." Hannity is pushing this memo, with no links.

Can anyone here call his show today, and ask him where this so-called apology is? I cannot call him anymore - I called too many times and busted him, so I am blocked from the show. LOL!!

The right is trying to spin this as Candy backtracking after the debate and they couldn't be more wrong. But they'll believe any crap hannity drops in their mouths....they're sheep and meaningless to this story. If you were watching the undecided dial groups on CNN last night you would have seen they hated Romney.

If you stop one lie, he just starts in with another .... Do you intend to listen to his every lying word ???

On and on and on and on, over and over again ?

I would never consider it ...

and when the other side speaks of something like it is a fact, and I cannot find that fact anywhere, I thought maybe I was crazy. Because it is really pathological to lie to yourself like that.

Look at us here - we all were disappointed in Obama's performance two weeks ago, I thought Romney did worse, because he lied and bullied, but I did admit Obama could have been stronger! For them to lie about something so easy to check shows me how nutsy they really are. And I mean really nuts, not just passionate about politics.

Freepers blame Clinton for Nine Eleven even though Bill Cinton summed it up for them as he mopped up any such malarkey with Chris Wallace's face in a Fox News interview. To expect Freepers to frame the Lybia issue with reason is, well, giving them a bit too much credit.

I'm getting really ticked off! Now many are saying that Obama's reference to "acts of terror" IN CONTEXT were referring to the fact that the killings were due to the video and that he didn't admit they were deliberate acts of terror! Sheesh!

I think it would have been very foolish to get too specific until more was known and not have knee jerk reactions like Romney did.

Because Obama didn't say "This was a terrorist attack." Verbatum then he and Crowley were wrong.

Not only should they get the transcript; they should read the transcript. It was an eloquent speech and they are really grasping at straws to claim that Obama didn't consider this a terrorist attack.

In the rest of the world, an act of terror = terrorism. I think this is a stupid argument that they are going to lose. And make even more people wonder about their brains.

than you are saying, though, because Romney didn't say terrorism, he said "acts of terror."

The interesting thing in this entire exchange is that no one seems to be going back to what OBAMA said that set off Mittens. Here is what Obama said last night in the debate:

The day after the attack, governor, I stood in the Rose Garden
and I told the American people in the world that we are going to find
out exactly what happened. That this was an act of terror and I also
said that we're going to hunt down those who committed this crime.

That is what the president said last night in the debate. Is that true? Here is what he said in the Rose Garden:

No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character, or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for. Today we mourn four more Americans who represent the very best of the United States of America. We will not waver in our commitment to see that justice is done for this terrible act. And make no mistake, justice will be done.

The statement in the Rose Garden and the statement last night by OBAMA are basically identical. And what here is the exchange in the debate:

ROMNEY: Yes, I - I...

CROWLEY: ... quickly to this please.

ROMNEY: I - I think interesting the president just said
something which - which is that on the day after the attack he went
into the Rose Garden and said that this was an act of terror.

OBAMA: That's what I said.

ROMNEY: You said in the Rose Garden the day after the attack, it
was an act of terror.

It was not a spontaneous demonstration, is that what you're
saying?

OBAMA: Please proceed governor.

ROMNEY: I want to make sure we get that for the record because
it took the president 14 days before he called the attack in Benghazi
an act of terror.

OBAMA: Get the transcript.

CROWLEY: It - it - it - he did in fact, sir.
So let me - let me call it an act of terror...

OBAMA: Can you say that a little louder, Candy?

CROWLEY: He - he did call it an act of terror. It did as well
take - it did as well take two weeks or so for the whole idea there
being a riot out there about this tape to come out. You are correct
about that.

It is unequivocal. The President was 100% accurate, and Romney was flat out wrong. They can try and change it now and say, "that's not what Romney meant", etc. He was just wrong.

I read the whole Rose Garden statement somewhere, with the "acts of terror" statement in full context, and there's no doubt Obama was putting the previous day's attack in that category. In the very next sentence, he referred to the four dead Americans.
