Romney's "bounce" was barely there. Temporary blip is disapating quickly.

Hope everyone who has been so "concerned" with their hair on fire can chill out now!!
The "bump" was never a real bump.

"While the twitter-verse was ablaze with the news that Romney seized the lead in Gallup’s tracker of likely voters, the underlying data hinted at troubling news for Romney. After making big gains among registered voters following the debates, Gallup’s most recent days of tracking have shown a shift back in the president’s direction, with Obama returning to pre-debate levels."

makes it feel like it has been going on forever, but in actuality, it has only been a few days and there is still a month until the election. Most post debate polling didn't start until 4 or 5 days ago. We can still measure it in hours if we want. The "eternity" of this romney bounce is about the same amount of time that i go between fill ups with my car.

The idea that this one debate is going to carry Romney (Romney of all people) for the final 4 weeks of the campaign is ridiculous. I think some of our more obsessive members need to go outside and do something else for awhile. Maybe realize the doom and gloom has been going on for all of 96 hours.

no where near weeks. President Obama has been ahead in the polls since
the beginning. This is not a fluke. This is not due to partisan polling.
It's because President Obama is a good president and a good candidate.
A brief bounce for Romney in a couple of polls is no where NEAR what it
would take to unseat a President with a favorability rate as high as
President Obama's.

he would have gotten the bounce that Romney got and we'd be celebrating.

But then people would be freaking out as Obama's numbers dropped when the bounce wore off and he came back down to earth.

however, I believe the pundits wanted a close race and chose to
declare romney the winner, not based on his words, but based
on his facial expressions and volume of his voice.

no debate is measured by those standards.
