Related: About this forumAny head-to-head polling on Clinton vs. Trump in SC in Gen. Election?
Also... catch me up: did Obama carry SC in either run?
If not, when was the last time a DEM presidential candidate carried it ?

(14,498 posts).... is approximately *zero*.
Based... at least .... on recent history. ( and in the absence of any relevant polling data to the contrary.)
Makes one wonder what the big deal about this primary is.
Is it because it's the only one this week?

(198 posts)This is a primary and every states counts, regardless of how it'll go in the general election. And the first state where the black vote will really get to vote their opinion.

(14,498 posts)How do you like it so far?

(14,689 posts)As I suspect Sanders would as well. People who think Trump would lose 40 + states are kidding themselves.
SC would not even be contested by Clinton.

(5,204 posts)But I'm pretty sure SC is too Republican and Trump will win it either way.

(50,254 posts)SC will never go Democratic presidentally again. It's lost there forever, just as it's lost forever in Alabama and Georgia and Mississippi.
But if she's losing to him now nationallly, how can she ever possibly beat him later?
It isn't possible for her to do anything dramatic to change anyone's votes.
And nobody, horrifyingly, can ever beat him in a tv face-off.
