Look. Huerta was wrong. We can prove that she was wrong. Let's leave it at that.
Bernie supporters:
Whatever possessed Huerta to tweet that she heard this chanting, I don't know, but she was wrong. Did she purposely say something that was not factual? I don't know. But it is not productive in any way at this point to say she "lied" or imply that she was doing a quid pro quo.
Hillary supporters:
There is no "English only" chanting going on in any video. There is one I haven't watched but I'll take Susan Sarandon's word that it's not on there since she was there and says it didn't happen and the other videos have no such chanting on them.
There is a video where you can hear what appears to be a Hillary supporter saying "Bernie is English only, Bernie is English only". That is not chanting and it is not coming from Bernie supporters.
The MODERATOR decided there would be no translation. It is an unfortunate decision, but what is even more unfortunate is that the Democratic Party allowed there to not be translators in place to begin with. This is a messy situation that didn't have to exist.
MoveOn did not denounce anything since there was nothing to denounce. They said IF the account was factual, but it isn't.
The Sanders campaign did not denounce this behavior since there was nothing to denounce. They made a blanket statement about the campaign's stance on unity and this type of behavior in general.
Trying to make this a smear piece about Sanders supporters when the evidence shows it to be non-existent is not productive in any way. Bringing MLK into this is disgraceful, especially when the OP doing so has no bearing on reality.
So can we all move on? This never happened so there's nothing to discuss any more.
And with that I bid you all goodnight.
