Santorum Now Takes Lead in Ohio - Overflow Crowds Seen in Idaho

Mr. Santorum has the support of 36 percent of likely Republican primary voters, trailed by Mitt Romney, with 29 percent. Newt Gingrich follows at 20 percent, and Ron Paul is in last place at 9 percent.

The state poll was released as national polls, including the latest New York Times/CBS News survey this week, showed Mr. Santorum closing in on Mr. Romney’s lead as caucus and primary contests shifted to the Midwest. The two leading candidates are battling for votes right now in Michigan, the home state of Mr. Romney’s family and where his father was governor. While Michigan and Arizona hold primaries next on Feb. 28, Ohio and several other states follow on what has traditionally been called Super Tuesday, March 6.

AND...

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — Back-to-back stops by Rick Santorum have turned out raucous and overflowing crowds in Idaho and Washington State over the past 24 hours, a sign that his surprising success in other caucus states last week may continue as he seeks to build further momentum against his main Republican rival, Mitt Romney.

His trip here also shows how Mr. Santorum’s skill at campaigning, and matching a message to a crowd, seems to have improved a great deal in just a few months, especially compared with his awkward and humbling early days crisscrossing Iowa last year. At a lakeside resort here on Tuesday, 500 people had already packed full a room an hour before his noon speech began, forcing guards to close the resort’s outside gates as people in a line of cars a half-mile long tried unsuccessfully to get in.

If this is going on in Idaho and Ohio, I'm telling you, these idiots in the South won't vote for Mitt. They think Santorum has been sent from god to rid the world of evil-doers. It's going to get crazzzyyyy.

Either way, we win.

but most of them are too busy fortifying the handy dandy sovereign citizen compound to come out unless it's for a luminary like Rick Santorum.

How such a beautiful State became a haven for the most fucked up weirdo's in this country is beyond me.

The overflow crowd last night in Boise was due to the fact that they held Santorum's pathetic rally in a 40+ year-old high school auditorium.
It only held 1200 people, so the other 100 or so people gathered in the gymnasium to watch it on a big screen teevee!!

"Hell, Martha, lookit the size of that thar big screen teevee they gots there."
"Yup, it's a biggun."
"Wished I had one of them thar things to watch Swamp Buggies with."
