Then back to being the absolute picture of entitlement.
All of it plumbing the depths of vacuousness.

(13,408 posts)Undecided voters care about many other things besides those transcripts. Some voters may care but the bulk of the undecided ones do not.

(27,275 posts)that's a real talent...you know what most undecided voters think...without a poll.
LonePirate
(13,408 posts)They are likely to think they are related to the emails on her server. Anybody who thinks the typical undecided voter knows and cares about these transcripts is not in touch with undecided voters. Undecided voters, by and large, are low information voters. I know several people I consider to be high information voters who don't know what these transcripts are. It's absurd to think most undecided voters know or care about the transcripts.

(13,408 posts)And by people, I mean the masses of undecided and independent voters.
I agree with the OP that voters care about the transcripts, although I think that number is smaller than what others think that number is, especially with regard to undecided voters who know nothing about this transcripts debate. If you were to ask an undecided voter if she should release the transcripts, you will likely receive a question along the lines of "What transcripts?" How can someone care about those transcripts if they know nothing about them?

(13,408 posts)You're essentially saying (undecided) voters care about the transcripts once they learn of them. I'm saying they don't care about them because they don't know of them. I certainly agree that the undecided voters will care about the transcripts once they learn of them. Until that time comes, they simply do not care about things they do not know.

(39,961 posts)torpedoed his campaign. After that was released, he was detested by people other than the people that already despised him.
That did more to illustrate what an entitled asshole he was than anything else, though he did say some truly crappy things.
I have the feeling that those transcripts would have the same effect, which is why she declines to release them.
LonePirate
(13,408 posts)I certainly advocate for their release regardless of the reason.
I just think several people here are unaware of how little this transcripts issue currently resonates with undecided voters. Sure, they might care about them once they are released and the contents become publicized. Until that happens, the typical undecided voter is not tuned into this topic and therefore does not care about it. They need to be informed about them before they form an opinion about them.
It is wrong to think undecided voters care about something they are completely or largely unaware of. There are not throngs of undecided voters eagerly anticipating the release of these transcripts before making up their minds on which candidate to support. Anybody who knows about this issue has already made up their mind about it.
Aerows
(39,961 posts)there is no reason to refrain from releasing them.
Nobody cares and the people that do care, according to your opinion, are few in number.
Among the few who care, it might persuade some otherwise undecided voters of Hillary Clinton's sincerity.
What could she have possibly said at those speeches that would damage or even compromise her run for office?
LonePirate
(13,408 posts)I said most undecided voters do not know about this issue and they do not care about it (because they don't know about it). I'm not sure how you made the leap from that statement to the one you said I made about few people caring. I also have never argued against releasing them. In fact, I stated exactly the opposite as I think that they should be released.
We all know why most Bernie supporters want these transcripts released. There is no reason to pretend to be unaware of or surprised by what is likely in these transcripts. The only possible unexpected content in the transcripts would be if she essentially read them the riot act. Who honestly believes that happened?
delrem
(9,688 posts)She could be reading "My Pet Goat" in the transcripts (and if they're released, they'll be doctored to show just that). That's beside the point that SHE AND HER HUSBAND WERE PAID OFF TO THE TUNE OF $150 MILLION, in total, straight to their account, in return for INFLUENCE. They had nothing else to sell.
DefenseLawyer
(11,101 posts)Obviously whether people will care about it depends on what she said. From the way she is fighting to the death over it, one can assume she doesn't think they would play very well.

(4,186 posts)...and since we already know from the leaks that she was "kissing their asses." It would be interesting to see the transcripts...but it is more important to not let this topic pass into the rearview mirror.
