Bernie folks, how can we possibly elect a European type Socialist in the fall?

Explain please how the American electorate will support a self declared socialist advocating MASSIVE government expansion.

If he's nominated, just wait until the billion dollars worth of BERNIE IS A SOCIALIST COMMUNIST MEGA TAX INCREASER ads hit the airwaves. He will be TOAST.

And please don't start citing current polls showing him slightly ahead of Trump. Such polls don't mean diddly shit now. He hasn't been touched yet by the right wingers. If he's nominated, they will thank the heavens and roll out ENDLESS ads that will tear him to shreds. His socialist ideology just won't cut it with the majority that will be needed to take down someone like The Trump or Crazy Ted.

Really not that hard.

If he's nominated, just wait until the billion dollars worth of BERNIE IS A SOCIALIST COMMUNIST MEGA TAX INCREASER ads hit the airwaves

The failure in this argument is this is exactly what the Republicans will be doing to any Democrat. Including Clinton.

The people who are receptive to this argument will not be voting for any Democrat. Including Clinton.

Competing for the votes of tea partiers will not win the election.

...is that on the first Tuesday in November everyone 18 and over who is registered as a voter in their state goes to what we call "the polls". While there, they cast what are called votes to determine who they would like for both national and state positions. Every four years we get to vote for a president. While state positions are chosen on a raw, who gets the most votes method, the president is chosen slightly differently.

Each state is given a certain value in what's called the Electoral College. Whichever candidate for president gets the most votes in a state gets the Electoral College points for that state. Whoever gets to 270 Electoral College votes first, wins the presidency.

So, to answer your question, if Bernie Sanders gets 270 Electoral College votes in the fall, he will become president. That's how we elect him.

This week's phrase "European type socialist", denotes a way to describe something by someone who isn't sure what a person who cares about the electorate, and owns of an Ikea lounge, sofa and teak bookcase.

If you throw enough derogatory titles at this person like socialist with communist and mega tax increaser for the goal of frightening people away from them, make sure you turn off the 18 straight hours of Fox news the people have consumed first.

And, if you want to draw the best picture of an ultimate mega borrow and spend tax drainer who inflated government like never before, look no further than the creation under the recent Bush administration of an off-budget war of aggression that's still stirring up lots of dead people and more terrorists from the endless raping and pillaging continued through present time. Don't forget to include the creation of Homeland Security with TSA and black op budgets under the CIA.

For the rest of the people, I believe they (along with me) will recognize Bernie Sanders for the kind of human being he is... Someone who's time has come. Based on the numbers of generations who wish to hang around for more decades, he's going to stay with us.

You can eventually see this, or continue with more comedy OPs.

I pass by him everyday going to and from work; he's been there as long as I've been living here.

Everyday w/o fail he's on a megaphone screaming about "socialists" and "commies" for hours. The themes get changed up sometimes, but the central 2 words always are the same.

I feel bad for him because at the beginning, people like myself listened in amusement but quickly tired of the non-ending drone, day after day.

Now no one pays attention to him anymore, except to laugh.

European Democratic Socialism is way better for almost all of us that the plutocracy we have now in the US.

The biggest tax hit would be on the massively rich. So the Waltons may have to get by with 500 million rather than 700 million or whatever.

I am comfortable but hardly wealthy. I would be more than OK with my taxes going up a bit if my health care expenses and education expenses go down.

Oh, Bernie is not a communist, where under the state owns everything. Most people understand this but obviously some do not.

And sorry, this misinformed scare tactic nonsense will not cut it at all with Millennials, they won't shed a tear over the Kochs and Goldman Sachs finally paying their fair share. Or no health insurance CEO skimming 5 billion or whatever off the top...for adding exactly what to health care?
