(23,156 posts)I suspect Hillary & Co are just coasting along, thinking she doesn't need to hold events, other than high dollar fund raisers, because after all, she has an insurmountable lead everywhere. Big mistake.
Divernan
(15,480 posts)PLUS, the farther her campaign sinks and disintegrates, the more desperately she holds fundraisers, not to finance her campaign, but to hold onto those $$$ when she is forced to drop out.
Hers', Bill's and the Clinton Family Foundation's days of raking in the big bucks are numbered. Once there is no possibility of them grifting their way through another presidency, those speaking invitations and Foundation "donations-cough-bribes-quid pro quo's-cough" will come to a screeching halt, never to resume. By screeching, I'm talking fingernails on blackboards, skidmarks on the highway, instantaneous halt. The same goes for all those one percenters who tolerated the Clintons' social-climbing, arriveste presence at social events. The Clintons' phone calls will go unreturned.
Don't cry for her, Argentina! At last she and Bill will be able to sleep under the same roof 365 days a year. It will be a second honeymoon for those two lovebirds.

(1,615 posts)one of the first places he visited was my town, to get some nice photo ops against the mountain scenery.
his speeches weren't as good then: fairly vanilla left-of-center rhetoric. has been slowly building his stage show thru this campaign with each visit.
i had a chance to shake his hand but left it; i had nothing to say besides maybe, "thank you for running".
thanks for running indeed. i've been supporting him thru various volunteer efforts, not because i think he will win, but because I support his public economics education program. sick of fighting with my working class brethren for whatever scraps the capitalists will leave us. I think he's doing an excellent job of getting people focused on the real issues.

That line can't possibly be for a Bernie rally.

(11,945 posts)from some DU AAs. It goes against everything we see at Bernie events. Much of it is depressing, some is downright hateful. I wonder what the AAs we saw in your pics would think of what we see here.
Something just doesn't add up...
uponit7771
(92,385 posts)... his message and rejected it outright
Sanders also lost PoC in NH by2%
even this crowd was 2/3rds white in the blackest part of Atl
Sanders affiliating his campaign with someone who called Obama "n-word-izzed" in IA hasn't been forgotten either
Nationally Sanders loses PoC by 40% to Clinton and the same number goes for black millennials ...
so its just not DU AAs who are not feeling the Bern
We've been on GDP putting up with some of the most racist comments I could think would only come from freepers and when DU AAs complain our post get hidden like what happened yesterday...
this post is from yesterday too...survived a hide
http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1251&pid=1248531
The reasons blacks havent been feeling the bern nationally and on GDP is well documented by AAs here and in publications
virtualobserver
(8,760 posts)The racist comments came from actual freepers. Anyone can join here.
At some point you will have to accept the fact that people like Bernie.

(2,732 posts)The pictures I have seen at the Morehouse Rally are about the opposite. I totally get you really, really want it to be true because it supports HRC's narrative, and last chance to win, but at least with regard to the Morehouse rally, the evidence I have seen shows you are incorrect.
Also, did you see that more and more party leaders are switching their vote? E.g. http://www.cbs46.com/clip/12218371/atlanta-leader-switching-support-for-bernie-sanders-angers-atlanta-mayor
So not everyone is yet feeling the bern, but a lot of folks are starting to get warmed up. Who knows, you may even come around!

Here's other sections of the venue where you might have a better vantage point - only will be harder to press your less than subtle question.
