But she is making a mistake. You're right in saying they will be revealed. In the mean time, there is all this speculation about what she said. It will probably turn out to be some typical mutual appreciation remarks, but her refusal makes people think there is more to it than that.

That is the issue. Perhaps there is something unsavory in the speeches, perhaps not. It certainly looks like she is hiding something, and that can't help the 'progressive' image she is trying to cultivate.

It is yet another issue that could pop up during the GE if some were leaked and there was somethging damning.

Of course the same was true with the Romney speech that later turned up in video on YouTube, but I'm not sure the chances are great of a repeat of that event...but who knows?

I do think it would have to be an actual video though to have any effect beyond the damage that has already transpired because written material can be denied whether verbatim or not...no real way to prove otherwise other than hearsay.
