2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumDialing it back a bit
In the interest of civility, I am going to make a serious effort to frame my opinions as "My perception is..." and "It would seem to me..." and in future make my points in the least offensive manner possible. I admit that is relatively difficult for me and it would seem to be difficult for many. As this primary season gets more and more heated I think it is extremely important to remember that we are all in this together. Sink or Swim. Our world. Our nation. Our neighbors. I have professed here to care for the children, the aged, the sick, the poor and the working people who are doing our best to make the world a better place for the future. Cleaner air, cleaner water, more prosperity, less debt imprisonment, healthcare for all, education instead of private prisons, No more fracking, more clean energy...Don't we all want that? So...If in the heat of battle, I have offended you, I apologize. When I am wrong here in a reply and am corrected satsifactorally I am going to try to have the humility to admit it and be accountable for such.
DU, Let's come together. Not merely to win against the Republicans but to have our best ideas further progressed.
Thanks for letting me play.

(1,102 posts)It was starting to hurt and I cherish this site as a place to speak out against the injustices we all are experiencing and feeling and I was about to just take a break when I thought I would examine my own part in the conversation. I found my self lacking in civility and that matters to me. Change starts with self.
