My gut says it will be a very short visit.
FLINT (WJRT) - (2/6/16) - Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will attend a community meeting with Mayor Karen Weaver, Sunday, to hear first-hand accounts of Flint's water crisis.
According to a release from the Clinton campaign, the February 7 meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. at 1851 W. Carpenter Road, the address of House of Prayer Missionary Church. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m.
Clinton is expected to use the trip to push for a $600 million Senate Democrat proposal to help Flint. The former Secretary of State announced the visit, earlier this week.
Clinton and Democratic primary opponent Bernie Sanders will be in town again, March 6, for a debate.

(26,177 posts)It feels more like a media event than something designed for the people of Flint. Don't get me wrong - I'm glad and grateful she is coming and keeping up the pressure, but it feels like a hit and run visit.
Maybe it is this way because she will be back for the debate, next month.
And I'm saying this as an un-smary Bernie supporter because I am a Democrat, first.

(6,280 posts)... and if this short stop does anything positive for the people of Flint, then if I think it's a good thing. I know not all Bernie supporters are smarmy, but I also know that they are far from..........
A SMARMY OF ONE!!
Looks like I pretty much nailed the countdown.
