Did Anyone Catch the Subtle Implications of Tweety?

During Chris Matthews interview with Clinton yesterday (it could have been a repeat from the day before), he seemed to want to make sure that he got his point across that Bernie could never fulfill his promises to the electorate. It was amazing and completely unabashed.

First, he had a compound question that included the thought that Bernie is making all these promises and seems to have no way of making those promises come to fruition. In Hillary's effort to fit in as much information as possible seemed to get lost in her answer never really directly addressing the "promises" issue. But that wasn't good enough for Tweety. The very next question basically asked the same thing...something like "just how fair is it for one candidate to make promises that he will not be able to keep?" I was floored. It was obvious what Matthews was trying to get across. In her second response, she again did not seem to directly answer the implication of the question...perhaps to her credit.

I never realized how Matthews felt about Bernie...it's pretty clear now.

5. Has spent his life in the system, his reaction to Bernie was easily predicted.

8. You may be confusing Chris the person with Chris the lifelong political junkie and DC insider.

As sickening as that day was, as horrid a war criminal W and Cheney are, Chris was likely responding to the politics of it, the optics.

At least I assume he was, I dont personally recall his reaction that day or to that event.

7. Sigh. Yes, forget context and go straight to outrage.

He set that all up in the context of the real historical battles between the parties, Dems and Republicans, that have taken place over time. He even said 'a lesson in civics' relating to the disingenuous promises of a 'revolution' within the framework of total votes needed to get things passed.

Reality is not insulting; it just is. It was just a dose of reality.
