watching the Today show and they kept stressing

that Bernie is a Democratic Socialist and not a member of the Democratic Party.
wife asked how he could run as a Dem, and not be a member of the party.
told her I didn't know, but I would try and find out.
so I am going to ask. and then go to bed .. work nights and
pretty tired. thanks for any help.

The DNC does not let anyone run as a Democrat, unless, at that time, he or she is a Democrat.

It's explained here. If you have any questions, ping me.

if Bernie wins the nomination?

While the media most certainly favors Hillary, to this moment she has taken all the republican bullets.

I know it is a partnership of convenience with republicans for his supporters now, but if Bernie does use this to make a real push at Hill, and surpasses Hill as the presumptive nominee, this democratic socialist stuff will be plastered on yard signs in half the houses in this country, just for starters ...
