What makes me a liberal
Liberalism believes in the individual's rights and freedoms, and seeks vast changes where they are necessary to ensure liberty and equality. Conservatism believes in conserving the dominant social order, to the benefit of existing power structures. In other words, the argument for gradualism or incrementalism in changing our society is conservative. I see a large part of our Party advocating for incrementalism, in other words, advocating for conservatism.
I am a liberal, and I am pulling for Bernie to win the Democratic Party nomination for President, and bring the Party back to liberalism.
